Question Low-carb cocktails?

Has anybody thought about low-carb cocktails? Seems like it would be a challenge, as simple syrups + fruit juices are usually main ingredients.

My favorite drink is the margarita - just plain on the rocks.

I bring this up as I stumbled across this article, the contents of which look yummy:

Quite a few articles about how to make them on this website. If you don't want the bother of a recipe, check out BajaBob's, available at my GNC. :-). http://lowcarbdiets.about.com/od/al...opcocktails.htm

Here is the current list of alcoholic drinks listed in our recipe forums. (Beverages are currently listed under Sweet Treats.)

Yes, I know they are not all cocktails as such, but some of them are, and I though you might be interested in peeping at them anyway.
They are all provided by our members, so enjoy, but not all at once!

Thanks Rosebud, I didn't think to look in our recipes. I was in charge of bringing LC mixers on vacation recently. Bought some powdered individual packets for day trips, plus a couple of brands of bottles of different SF mixers, eg pomegranate martini by Skinny something. Since I don't use artificial sweeteners normally, they all tasted disgustingly sweet and chemically to me, except the BajaBob's. Paleo followers have made the "NorCal Margarita" their drink of choice. http://ultimatepaleoguide.com/norcal-margarita-recipe/. No sweeteners of any kind.

Well, YOU'RE no fun!

Camel, look around for Crystal Light margarita mixes. I found these at my grocery store here in Canada, but they were on the reduced rack and I haven't found them since. They might be discontinued, at least up here. There was strawberry margarita, and green apple margarita. Sooooooo good. I could kick myself for not buying them all up.
