Default Todd's Organic Bread

Hi, Mal, LowCarb Products moderator, here

This is a quality organic bread producer based in the USA, Florida if I remember correctly, and has his products available in a number of places and states in the US of A, as well as online.

I'm searching for the web address in another window, but thought I'd post this information here for any other readers of your note.

PS: hope you don't mind, but I'm going to edit this thread to put the actual product name in the Subject line and take out those extra exclamation marks... in the interest of more information and readability.

Ah, the search is finished, try http://www.toddsorganicbread.com for information about this bread.

Default Todd's Bread?

Thanks for the link to Todd's low-carb bread, it looks great, but the shipping is DREADFUL! Am I missing something? People in Alaska do a lot of mail-order, and we get kind of touchy about high shipping, especially when it isn't necessary.

Have you let the vendor know how you feel about the shipping? That applies to ANY vendor.

We Canadians have big concerns about the shipping, too, believe me! An extra $US25 or more is usually slapped on, over and above regular shipping, between Blaine WA and where I live (and that's all of maybe 20 miles by crowflight).

Maybe it's that long, long, long Alaska Highway for ground shipping for you? I used to live in Whitehorse, so I know how far it is ...

The shipping is outrageous, but the kicker is that ya gotta order a minimum of SIX loaves of this stuff. It would cost me just short of $50.00 US to try it.

There's gotta be an easier way!!! And no, I'm not going through the folderol of "sharing" the order with friends. Phooey.

Just in passing, spotted some new Todd's LC bread products (bagels!) now available at Netrition!

Maybe they don't have a 6-item minimum, and JUST maybe their shipping is better. Check it out (and please DO use the link on this website, see the shopping cart on the upper right of the screen? ... our webmaster would appreciate it).

Judi,

I do not see the Todd's breads at Netrition. I searched though all of their bread's and pasta's and they are mixes. Am I missing something?

Thanks

Candice

Question

Yikes, beats me.

I could have SWORN I saw it as a new product on a 'front page' at Netrition somewhere... and it may well be their regular products pages haven't caught up yet.

All I can say is (if they have a free 800 number or an email address), try contacting them. Or maybe try the Todd's bread website and see if they'll say if their bread is now being marketed by anybody else, such as Netrition.

Good luck to you. If I trip over it again, I'll post it here with a live link of some kind.

Since I like the crust more than the insides of bread ( *especially* low carb bread) I was really happy when I tried one of the Todds Organic rolls -

Nutrition Info per whole roll:

140 calories

8 fat grams
8 carb grams
6 fiber grams
30 protein grams

Todd's label indicates 2 carbs per roll

when I used the Hidden Carbs Inspector - it came up with negative 11 carb grams - so sounds good to me, lol

Thanks, barefoot!

I've been eating the Todd's bagels for a while now. They have a good chew but don't really taste like bagels. The taste is more like a 7 grain bread. Just wanted to make sure no one is disappointed. I get them at my local health food store - you might try asking your local store to carry them.

Thumbs down Beware of this bread

I just had to post my opinion regarding "Todd's bread" is the cocoa 10g soy protein bread....it is disgusting, I could not swallow it, it made my throat tingle... weird I know. anyways that was it. I bough this because the one I reagularly buy was not in stock. the one I always buy is the "food for life" Low carb bread. Its really good.
ok have a great day

I didn't think Todd's bread was that bad. The cocoa bread was a little spongy, not great but basically ok. My main problem with it was that based on the name, I expected it to be sweet, but it wasn't at all .. by the way my package said 2g net carb per slice, maybe you had a different size or something? I like the regular Todd's bread, it's a bit chewy but toasting seems to improve the texture a lot.

Default a sinless sandwich!

That is what I had last night! Ordered bagels from the following. I hesitate to post this because then you'll all know just how much money I'm willing to spend to have bread but these things are great.

BTW, the sandwich had (homemade) roasted chicken, bacon, mayo and mustard. If you're drooling, check this out
