Default Cravings so I gave in....

I was craving something yummy for a snack. This is going to sound strange but I ended up with a piece of organic butter, 7 olives with pits and 7 macadamia nuts. The butter was so sweet to my taste buds, the olives wonderfully salty and the macadamia nuts, nibbled on satisfied the crunch. I know it's way early for macadamia nuts since I'm just starting week 3, but I am proud of myself for not reaching for high carb junk.

great choice!

I am a grazer- i know many here do better with discrete meals, but i like to nibble. some of my my favorite induction friendly snacks i always have on hand and eat regularly:

1. hard boiled eggs
2. cheese- you can even make "crisps" to switch it up. i like it fresh best, though. make sure to keep eye on portion size!
3. bell pepper dipped into guacemole or pico de gallo
4. celery spread with creamcheese or sourcream based dip like dill
5. deli meat roll ups
6. pickles or other pickled veg
7. seaweed crisps
8. jerky that doesn't have sugar added. my favorite is buffalo chicken.

keep it up!

Behold the phenomenon of butter snackers! I may or may not be one of these butter snackers, myself.

shewolf, that is so cool that you didn't go off plan when the cravings hit you!

Huge Congrats on that!

The more strategies you have to combat temptations and cravings, the better able you are to stay OP, IMHO. And I had my go-to strategies way before the temptations or cravings hit... b/c we make terrible food choices when we are hungry, stressed, and/or tired.

Keep Fighting the Good HARD Fight b/c YOU are so WORTH it!

A snack a ladder-rung away is one way to stay on-plan. You haven't caved into cravings like potato chips, but have controlled your way of eating with a great strategy.
