Default Taco, meat, bacon, egg stuff

Not to sure what else to call it but I am loving the stuff, here is what I used
1 pound Hamburger
5 slices bacon
9 eggs (beaten with maybe 1/4 cup of cream)
packet of taco seasoning
Clove of Garlic
American cheese ( just a bunch 2 cups?)
any thing else that looks like it might fit in

And here is what I did. Let me preface this by saying I am a guy and I am NOT a cook, given the option I would just eat stuff raw over the sink.

any way
Cut the bacon into little pieces and cook it in a large pan.
Add the hamburger and brown it ( I did not drain any thing off)
Add the eggs Cook till it looks done
Add the Taco seasoning and just a little water
Somewhere in there, maybe before the eggs, I added the cut up garlic
Add the cheese
Cook till it looks done

Then I put the mess in a large bowl, but it in the fridge and I have been microwaving a bowl of it when I get hungry ever since.

Stuff is awesome.

So good luck
Dave
( side not do NOT and I mean not cook the bacon with your shirt off, just trust me on this one)

When I cook bacon I wear a space suit. I can't stand splattering meat. I usually do mine in the microwave and then just use the grease and crumble the bacon, or you can cook it in the oven and do the same. Less painful.

Forgot the main reason for my post. This stuff sounds good and it sounds like it would be great wrapped in a low carb tortilla or in one of the cheese "tortillas" that people are making. Will definitely try it.

Space suite got it. It would probably be very good wraped in something. I usuly just eat it out of a bowl, did I mention I was simple?

Thumbs up

The other day I made taco meat and just dumped it on plates with some chopped green onions and sliced anaheim chili and shredded cheddar-jack. My 8 year old swears it's the best meal I've ever made, which was almost insulting since it was one of those out-of-food last-second things, and I've put much more effort into many things that lost that contest apparently! (Kids. It's like you can buy a toy and after awhile they're playing with the box instead. Same with food I guess.) The lowcarb wraps really aren't bad nowdays. And like some do for the quiche pizza, you can bake sandwich-size sliced thin (in the deli, ask for setting 10 on the slicer) pepperoni in muffin tins, bake so it's a spicy crunchy shell of sorts, and then dump stuff in that. In a perfect world, I'd have an angel who cooks like Karen to feed me (or better yet, the talent and time myself), and there may be degrees of nutritional goodness of course -- but in reality, I think anything that doesn't wipe out the eating plan is a successful meal! I hadn't thought of adding eggs and garlic. Thanks for sharing.

FUNNY picture, Spiderdust...though I was almost afraid to look at it after preceding posts. Cooking (food) naked is dangerous PERIOD...too many sharp/hot things...lol.

Mike - I made it - and dang, is it good! I could live off this - I like anything that has that Mexican spicing in it. Thanks for the recipe!

Dave, I'm not a guy, but I don't really cook much either, although I've been doing a lot more of that since starting this WOE.

Your recipe sounds great, and easy! I'll definitely have to try it. And I'll be sure to keep my shirt on the whole time! :-)
