Default New Here

Just wanted to introduce myself. I am new to this board but not new to Atkins. I was on it for about a year and lost 60 pounds. Then I became pregnant and all of that work went out the door. I let myself eat entirely too muhc while pregnant and gained 46 pounds. I lost 27 of it 2 weeks after I had my son and then started gaining it back. I have been having a horrible time getting back on Atkins like I did before. I just cant seem to get motivated; though I want to so bad. I have been going through an emotional time with my family and when I am upset I tend to eat unfortunately. :-( I AM going to get back on Atkins tomorrow. I am so thrilled to have found this board because I need support so much. It is so difficult to go through this alone. No one in my family seems to understand how hard it is to loose weight. DH is small as it is so he just doesnt get it. Thanks so much for taking time out to read this. I hope to be able to stick to Atkins again and get to know you all.

Debbie

Hi Debbie! Welcome! I've found also that it's hard to get back to LCing when you've been away. The only thing keeping me going some days is the picture of the thin me in my head. I'm sorry to hear about your family issues - it causes so much stress, doesn't it? I find I eat when I'm bored, so I've made sure to have plenty of LC snacks handy and kept all the high carb stuff out of the house so I only have healthy choices when I'm ready to eat. It's going to be a tough habit to break, but I'll bet you can do it!

Chris

Thanks so much for the Welcome and encouraging words. It helps to know there are others out there going through the same thing as I am. I am "officially" back on atkins today. So hopefully all will go well. Now to get my tail into the habit of drinking water again. Wish me luck!

Welcome!!!!

A good word of advise is to start a journal here to keep track of thoughts, feelings and events as well as food!!

Also many of us go to www.fitday.com as a very helpful tool.

Good Luck!!!

Thanks Taisiya
I may do that. I had a good day yesterday but today has just been BAD BAD BAD. I went to the Dr and was diagnosed with post partum depression. He prescribed me Wellbutrin XL so hopefully that will kick in in a week or so. He said it should help me with me wanting to eat us out of house and home. I just wish it were easier to lose weight..UGH! But I know it didnt get here overnight and it certainly isnt going to go away overnight.
