Default Beef Nuggets

Heres another quick recipe

BEEF NUGGETS

1 kg beef mince
3 eggs
1 pkt TVP [150 gms]
1-2 tspns onion powder
1-2 tspns garlic powder
1 1/2 cups grated cheese
! 1/2 Tblspns grainy mustard [optional]

Mix together thoroughly, shape into ping pong sized balls and flatten slightly.
Place on baking peper lined shallow treays and bake [180] until cooked through.[about 30 mins]
Cool and freeze on parchment paper lined trayss. when solid place in snaplock bag.
Cook from frozen by 'nuking' for a couple of minutes. Makes about 3 doz

I was wondering what the heck beef nuggets were until I read your recipe and realized that it's another name for what we call meat balls over here in my neck of the woods

Sounds delicious. what does the TVP do for it -- texture??

yep, tends to take up some of the moisture i think..stops all the cheese from pouring out and tastes yum! We have meatballs too, but i make these in between the size of a burger and a meatball..my kids love them and they're great chopped up in my morning omelette.
