Default My New Love - Macadamia Nuts

I've never tried Macadamia Nuts in my life (maybe in a cookie). I searched the carb counter and found Macadamias are only 4 g total per oz and 2 G Effective Carbs minus fiber. This is about 10-12 kernals. I bought an 8oz bag of them which i'll seperate into 1 oz servings. I think I found my new snack. Just can't eat Pork Rinds..

I just tried them for the first time last month. Now I have a new favorite. Perfect with a lil cheese on the side. Really hits the spot.

I tried them and they are really good and very expensive, but I found them kind of oily tasting, and kind of rich, not sure I'd hurry to buy them again.

I found sugar-free chocolate covered macadamias in the Walgreens last month... they were sooo good, I've been putting off going back there, I ate that bag very quickly!

Yes, macadamia nuts are a nice treat. I haven't got into them yet.
Been on the induction part of Atkins diet for eight days and have lost 6 lbs as of this past Sunday. I felt very draggy on Sunday...No energy but picked up on Monday feeling energized.
My goal here is to loose 40 pounds and of course keep it off.
Cheers you all, and have a nice day.

Trader Joes has decent prices for bags of them - they sell them raw and dry-roasted, and sometimes "chips". I forget how much they are, but I'll write it down next time I go.

I'm going to post a separate thread on a great movie snack I mixed up with macadamias in it this weekend.

I bought some at trader joes for 5.79 a bag, 10 ounces. at BJs I get 12 ounces for 7.79,, so better deat at trader joes, you can also go to the luana lau websight and order from them at a decent price.

Absolutely LUV them...very rich and flavorful. I have to buy them in single servings bags because I did buy a jar once....and ate the whole thing for dinner.....BAD...they are very high in fat!Very addictive!!!!

My boss bought some back from Hawaii. Sour cream and onion as well as Kona flavored too. The flavoring added about a carb more to them. I love them a little to much and was struggling with portion control at the time but separating them into baggies or 1 once servings definitely sounds like the way to go.
