I went off my LC for 5 days and with reckless abandon I might add...got in late last night and I'm still registering trace keytones this morning so it make it real easy to sucker punch that little voice in my head telling me to just start back on Monday and get back on today. LOL!

I gained 3 pounds after going off for 5 days but the ketosis remained...it just kept getting lighter every day...today very light traces, but traces nonetheless so I'm hoping by getting right back on full force I can salvage what is left and get myself back in the red.

I'll send good wishes your way that you remain in ketosis and don't have a gain.

Naw, not 2 weeks to get back in, but depending on how BAD you cheated, it may take a couple days, or three....

I went off low-carb for three days this weekend and cheated with fudge. Very little fudge, like 6 oz total. I gained EIGHT POUNDS, I started back on very low carb on Tuesday, and I'm still not back in ketosis. But, six of the eight pounds are gone!

Demokrat - that is great that you lost 6 of the 8 pounds already. I hope I'm as lucky as you are. I have a very hard losing weight even when I'm in ketosis.

Thanks, but obviously I can gain it just as easily if I even cheat just a little!

It's just water. I know if still is freaky, but it's not fat.

Yep, totally just water - drink more during the day (not too much!) to get rid of what you gained.

After my chocolate/wine fest I got back up to 119 and now today (haven't weight myself in a week, almost) I'm down to 116??? I've been STUCK at 118 for a month. Crazy.

I know for a FACT that carbs are like little water balloons because when I eat chocolate, even just a NORMAL amount, I can look 6 months pregnant from bloat. And lemme tell ya, that ain't fat from 4 ounces of chocolate. Sheeee-yit, the most you could gain from FOUR OUNCES OF CHOCOLATE IS FOUR OUNCES. It's the water that you bloat up with. Believe me.

Pisser to see on the scale, but that's all it is.

Now git to drinkin'!

I go off plan once a week in a semi controlled way. I always register ketones late into the night. The next morning I am always out or maybe borderline trace negative. I always have a very intense workout the next day and I am always showing moderate ketones by that evening.
