So I am seriously considering getting an air fryer. I am a Adkins/ low carb and am sitting on the fence if it would be beneficial- or a help. Thoughts????
I got the regular air fryer. I really love it. Best Buy has a really good warrenty so I went there. Mine is a regular air fryer. It cooks everything. If you decide to cook sausage line it with parchment or something. It does not do well with a lot of grease. The fryer itself is quick and easy to use and clean. Lots of recipes on Youtube.
Advantages I see:
- Crispy "deep-fried" recipes without the deep frying
- More energy-efficient than using the oven
- Easy clean-up: the parts go in the dishwasher
Huge disadvantage for me:
- My kitchen is tiny and I have no space for it
I hope someone who has one will chime in... (ETA) Thanks, Myca!
I think using the air fryer opens the door to add a delicious sauce to any meats. I am so tempted to try salmon in the air fryer this week. You can still use fats, just not as much cooking oil fats. So will definitely need to up them in another area.
