Default Chicken "noodle" soup

Ok, so there aren't REAL noodles in this. But, the cabbage tastes like it!! It only takes 10 minutes to make!

1 can of chicken broth
1 stalk of THINLY sliced celery (width wise)
2-4 leaves of cabbage
2 cups of Chicken
Parsley and pepper to taste

Put chicken broth on low heat and add celery. Cut cabbage into strips (about the size you would want your noodles to be). Add cabbage to the broth. Simmer until veggies are tender.

I made this for lunch this weekend and we really liked it.

Hope someone else can use this idea!!

Carb Counts will vary with the actual amount of whatever stuff you use in YOUR version of the recipe.

There's an online carb counter right here on this website, there's www.fitday.com, there's carb counter books, carb counter sections in the back of either the Atkins' or Protein Power books, etc.

So with a recipe like this, you count of up carbs of the ingredients, and divide the whole recipe's worth count by the number of portions you would eat at a time, then you have a carb count per serving based on your own ingredients.

One of the first things a lowcarber has to do is take ownership of their own carb counting...
