After seeing an ad for frozen hot chocolate somewhere (fast food i think?), i decided i must try to make it on my own.
here is what i did:
1. put water in kettle (or boil)
have large mug waiting with:
2 generous tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa powder
a glug of sf torani (i used vanilla)
a dash of salt
*optional flavor extract like raspberry, peppermint, or almond....
when water boils, pour in about 1-1.5c
stir to dissolve everything
use a funnel to pour into ice cube tray or this gets messy!
2. freeze
3. pop desired number of cocoa cubes in blender
4. add in "milk" (i used 1/4c almond milk and generous splash of cream, but coconut milk would work as well or just water and cream)
5. blend and enjoy!
***if you have whipped cream, i would add some of that as well
nutritional stats depend upon what type of milk/amounts/etc...
for a 6 cube, 1/4 c almond milk/ 2 tbsp HWC shake, i got:
115 calories
1.5 net carbs
