Question Wasabi

Sorry to appear stupid, but, I was hoping you could tell me what Wasabi is?
I live in the UK (Glasgow) and have never heard of it before. I am really keen to try out your Seared Tuna with Soy Wasabi Glaze recipe.....thanks!

It's green, Japanese horseradish that is mainly served with sushi/sashimi and other Japanese foods. It cames in powder or as paste in tubes and very occasionally in its pure, root form.

You can use Dijon mustard instead.
