Tea, huh..............I was told no tea at all....herbal or otherwise.

At one time I was a huge green tea drinker - after I got off coffee the first time...............ya that is what final through me into Hashimoto's big time. The more I was sleepy the more tea I drank and the more sleepy I got

All tea's have flouride in them and it is really horrible for people w/thyroid issues.

BIG problem.....................I am not eating enough.........with all the supplements and water I am drinking I don't feel like eating.

I am suppose to start the Nystatin tomorrow (well I was suppose to start last friday).

Any have any thoughts of this drug?..............I am a little nervous as I have a list of meds as long as my arm that I am now allergic to. I am hoping (so is my MD) that the diet and supplement have cleaned out enough yeast that I will not react to the Nystatin.

BWT...........I am only have fairly minor die off sx.............For the most part with all the supplements and OOO and CCO I have been feel much better than I have in a while.

Nyastin is not supposed to have side effects. However, people report that after they stop using it, the candida symptoms will come back, and over time it becomes resistant to it. I guess you can give it a try is that's what is prescribed. Your best bet is natural antifungals, though. OOO, olive leaf, gse, caprylic acid.
Some herbal teas are beneficial, like peppermint and chamomlile (if you are not allergic to ragweed), yarrow, ginger root tea. Black and green tea are not recommended by most candida websites.

I think if you take OOO drops or coconut oil you are doiung good to your oral cavity anyway, so I wouldn't worry about toothpaste.

Just for the record, I have read a study where they fed rats either xylitol or sugar after infecting them with candida (poor rats!) and the xylitol rats didn't show signs of infection progression so it's supposed to be Candida safe. That said, I obviously don't know these things for sure...

Xylitol is a sugar alcohol even if it's different, but they all end up in the colon. Even if candida doesn't respond to it in rats, you know that these bugs can mutate and adapt themselves to whatever food is available. But if you don't swallow the toothpaste, I don't think it poses a problem. It's actually supposed to be good for teeth, but who knows. It depends on who sponsors the study...
