Default exercise ball routines?

My good friend just gave me a nice big exercise ball. We did a great workout with it to a Denice Austin DVD. while I am waiting to receive a dvd in the mail - does anyone out there have a good list or link of ball exercises I could be working on? I didn't find much on my last surf for it??? Thanks!!!

Hi,

You casn basically do any exersise on the ball. I use one for my upper body routine. You can also do stomach crunches on it too.

The routine I do is from the body doctor, unfortunately they don't have any pics of the ball versions on their site, but here is another site that has a ball routine.

iVilliage Ball Workout

Hope this helps!

I just purchased a Carnegie pilates ball for $16 from TJ Maxx.

I tried it last night, and the part I like best was the AB work. It really seemed to concentrate my efforts on my abs.

I know the box has a poster, I'll check the website later to see if they list a routine there.

Click on pilates from the disciplines pull down menu & hit GO!!!

the fitness store has POSTERS of ball routines...I love that idea because truthfully I prefer to choose my own entertainment while I work out.

When I go to my exercise class we do crunches, obliques, push-ups at the knee, mid-shin and ankle. You can also support your upper body on the ball and work with weights for a great upper body work-out. Good luck.

i love my xrcise ball.. we also use them at the class i go to at gym--abs/butt/thigh class and my muscle conditioning class. sometimes when my muscles are tight i will stretch swinging the ball over my head side to side, at the waist side to side ,and then by my knees side by side. it helps the lower back and shoulders etc. --the soreness is gone in no time.

I haven't seen much on the web as far as exercise ball demos, but Paul Check has some outstanding material you can purchase.
