Default Walking Question ??

I have done a lot of walking. Love it so does my Husky I try to do around 7 kms every day or every other day. I was doing 14 a day but am more busy now. I try to go after dinner. Is 7 km good enough? I now it is better then just sitting on the couch but I am also looking to keep a good metabolism as well? I go to the gym on the days I am not walking and I really give it all there around 25 min on a ellipacal machine and burn around 300 calories then do about 30 min of weight training. Will this help my metabolism?

I think you're getting a very good amount of exercise. 7 km is pretty far! Also great to see you're also lifting weights, that's one of the best ways to raise metabolism.

I think you're doing very well and I see you've lost a lot of weight Congrats, keep up the good work.

Try to space out the walking and the lifting. Each will raise your metabolism for about an hour after you stop. So if you can choose, I'd do cardio in AM and lifting in PM. It doesn't make much diff though.

You raise your metabolism by building muscle, and eating. Muscle metabolizes more calories than fat when resting.
