So... I have a question on if I have been doing planks wrong the whole time. I used to do them when I was much younger and was pretty sure they were done like shown below. This is on the top of the article that Demi posted.



When doing more reading of the article, and other articles, it shows them often like this:



I've been doing them the first way the entire time, however, today I did the lower way and I'm not sure which is better. I think the second way may be a bit harder, but then again, maybe that's because I'm used to the upper way and have stronger muscles in that position.

How do you two do them?

I do mine the second way, though that's because we did them that way in the Pilates class I used to attend. I may change to the first way at some point.

I'm struggling as well, Demi. At least as far as the time is going. I'm not sure that this is realistic for a complete newbie to go from 20 seconds to 2 minutes in 30 days. The numbers in the parentheses are how many seconds I'm actually doing it, but it's a struggle to get there. My stomach/core feels perpetually sore as it doesn't have a recovery day. I'm now varying between the normal ones (on your elbows) and the extended one (like a pushup). I do better with the extended ones. I shake a lot more with the normal ones and can't go as far. I do find they work different muscles so am trying to use that to help mitigate the soreness.

That said, I want to keep this up to see how far I can go. So glad that you and Nichole talked about this and you put the challenge together. Hang in there and keep working!
