Nic......I choose to get up with him. Mainly because he wants to make hot chocolate to take along and it's just easier for me to do it. Yes, he's spoiled!

Fasted for 21 hours today! Just black coffee and water until 3PM and then I had a 500 calorie meal(down day). Tomorrow I'll enjoy some good eats! The fasting went amazingly well. Shocked!

Nicco, I just happen to be up when hubby goes to work but yea, like you if I wasn't an early bird I wouldn't get up either too funny. but maybe I would still? Don't know. I am always up anyway HAHA

Nice you can decide to go to DE or not.....rain? We are in massive big rain right now and over the next days it is gonna be rain and more rain. Not sure if coming your way?

You are on that no sugar etc. challenge you do right? You gonna extend it into Dec? just wondering.

Lori...super cool on 21 hr fast. That would be an OMAD day kinda right? Not bad. omgosh I still want my 2 meals per day, I can't fast but more power to ya on that one.

I despise alarm clocks! Evil. Worse is my hubby is a 'snoozer' person and I am get up instantly on first alarm. So when he sets it it starts, then 10 min later it goes again, and again and again. He does it quite a few times over 30-40 mins to hit snooze. omg it drives me insane.

One reason I like to see hubby out the door is I know he will leave on every light and leave whatever diaster in his wake so if I am up I know the house is OK when he leaves....yea I am that stupid OCD on that too.

Jaz, what out of network do ya really need in a way? Key being if out of state and you have medical emergency most times it would be the ER room and that is covered ya know. With my 'silver plan' from BCBS my out of network is like really low.....so be sure to check your plan on out of network costs ya know. Mine is like wonderful in that respect so I am never worried on it. Out of state, crap goes down, my plan, even if I gotta pay a tad more for a specialist etc if required means I still won't be wallet mugged.

yea big cravings like that does mean the body is testing ya smart to zonk out on it, been there done that too. Glad ya held plan. Most important thing. Don't let that sugar back in, it is a war zone on ZC if ya eat backward with the sugar and then the fight kicks in to hold zc ya know. My little brain had to learn don't go there ever, easiest way in life to be best content on our eating plan actually

--------------Massive rain on us right now. omg like days of it....and BBrrr weather to boot with the next days. One morn is a wake up to 27 they say...come on

was gonna hit grocery for Tbones on good sale but this is monster rain. no use. I shop in very light rain but ain't going out in this crap tomorrow they say some hrs it lets up til more hits so hopefully I can run between raindrops then and go get steaks. My freezer needs them dearly.

Doggie goes back to vet tomorrow at 10. He has a swelling around his butt under his tail. Vet tech said anal glands not it and make appt for vet so I did. He ain't eating, he has his butt in the air sometimes, runs like his azz is hurting, tail down....so maybe antibotics for who knows what? we shall see tomorrow. did check on internet about his symptoms etc and it says most likely bacterial infection from whatever and it is painful etc. so yea, off to vet tomorrow again....got his nails cut tho yesterday. done on that part. ugh

So real estate lady sent message yesterday. buyer backed out. no reason why from other agent? WTH? probably realized they can't afford it HAHA who knows. sucks tho. keep on waiting is all one can do to sell later.

So tired. Could not sleep. No idea why. Went to bed at 3 am and up at 6:30 just before kid walked out door for bus and hubby left for work. Exhausted me and sick dog....yea great day going down. big azz nap later

eat up 2 big pork chops and got burger meat for later. done easy who cares on food today

be good all, if I typo'd too much it is cause I ain't awake writing this post HAHA

Good Morning!

Stayed in bed till almost 7....fabulous! DH not hunting today because it's raining. I don't have anything going on till 4 this afternoon when I have to be at Betty's when her nurse comes to visit. DH wants the nurse to talk to her about getting in a hospital bed....I know she'll resist. It would be so much easier to care for her if we could get around to all sides of the bed. We'll see. I'll clear out of here around Noon too when my cleaning lady comes. Not sure where I'll go or what I'll do, but I'll figure something out.

-------

Trig.....You are having a rough day girl! Sorry on the no sleep and then having to deal with the Dogger's issues. Poor little fella with a sore hiney! That must be miserable for him. Hope you can get a nap after you get him sorted.

Nic.....Safe travels if you head to DE. It seems like you have such a good time there....I'd be there every chance I got!

Jaz.....No wonder you are dead tired! All the stress of getting ready to move and getting ready for a new job. Not to mention all the packing etc. Good on you to just go to bed and not succumb to eating crap.

-------

Well, time for this girl to have some breakfast. Today is eat whatever sounds good day!

Good Morning!

Trig- Rain MOVING out! - I know you are an early bird. I am so not. I like to get up about 8! That is going to change pretty quickly here!

Insurance Coverage- the Silver BCBS plans here do NOT have ANY out of network coverage at all! That is the issue. So in the event I had to visit the ER- and get admitted it would be as if I have nothing. That is the issue. I am searching for a plan that has BOTH in and out of network coverages and it is tough to find! I have looked at the plan you are one. They have one similar here in GA- but it only applies for IN THE STATE. So messed up! I am still hunting. I have not given up.

WOE- girl you don't need to tell me that sugar is bloating and weight gaining recipe! Carbs, ie....... veggies turn to sugar. I think that is what MOST people do not get. MOST people that a veggie is a "good for them". The fiber myth is just that..........
I tell ya, the more I learn about it all it is AMAZING to me that people still eat "Franken food".
I loved when Dr. Lustig said to somebody he was interviewing.......
Quote:
"Is a potato chip or apple juice REAL FOOD?
".
I sure hope Bolt can get his "issue" sorted out and feel better. That pup has nine lives for sure!

Boy that just sucks about the house! URGHHHHHHH. Honestly I think it will go fast once Spring is here! This is such a slow time of year for much of anything! I get it though it is hard to wait!

Lori- - I was smiling to read that your cleaning lady is back at work with all her health issues!

It is very sweet of you to get up with your hubby!

So are you going back to up/down- WOE? That worked for you in the past! Finding our sweet spot is key!

Nic- Travel Day? Updates!
--------------------------------------------------------------

I slept close to 11 hours last night. Went to bed at 9 pm and got up at 8. I was just whipped. I feel pretty good this morning but moving slow.

Today is finish packing, picking up where I left off yesterday. I didn't do much yesterday. I was too tired.

Saw my DD yesterday and we had a 2-hour coffee meet up. It was nice. She is going back for her master's online. She is fast tracking it, so she is super busy with that and the kids, while her husband is launching the biz.

Meanwhile back here at the ranch.............Woke up to heavy thunderstorms that have moved off. But everything is soaked and gray. Good indoor day!

Food- I have pretty much packed up my kitchen except for a small electric skillet I take with me in my travels. I also have used up everything in my freezer and fridge. I have some leftover Taco meat from yesterday that does not sound great to me.
I may do a quick run to pick up a rotisserie chicken and a small pack of hamburger patties and that will be it until I arrive in CHARLESTON. Keeping the WOE% through the transition here!

I bounced up 2 pounds overnight. WTH???? No biggie I know that I am good.

Ok- gotta run!

wow Jazz on 'your state' not offering my same silver plan? WTH?
omg the stupidity of this is right next to insanity levels if ya ask me HA

you will work it out I know.

Is it not veg converts to sugar when eaten, it IS SUGAR eaten LOL There is no 'they turn' into anything, you eat veg, according to its GI index you eat that amt of sugar each time. Simple as that.

Most will understand what I wrote here HAHA cause any carb is sugar ingested from plant matter so.....

Yea I know you got stress.
You will be ok.
you got fab place to call home!! in the bank.
never worry on friend to visit, that can be put on hold easily and with the pet restrict, she can work around that 'LATER!!!'

so do you as you need at all times to get settled. never think one step past that. YOU at all times and for you to find that new safe great home location and then life begins as ya need it.

You don't owe anything to anyone at all in your life timeline right now and if one can't see that, then, hey, tough sh** ya know HA

yea that is me and how I roll, do you and don't worry. Life moves for everyone as it must to worry too much more is useless and stessful and stupid if ya ask me, well, now, yea I get it now ya know We gotta do us for us or the extra to worry on others is pointless cause it never pans out anyway LOL

Lori, yea hiney hurt. that is what it is and he is wandering house all jumbled with his butt and some pain I am sure but tomorrow on meds I think we can get it covered. ugh

Hospital bed. Girl think harder now. AND IT IS THE TOUGHEST call ya know but I would think truly 'all in 24/7 care' but not sure if your hubby has power of attorney and more but I think the time is all in. She NEEDS FULL ON 24/7 care and while we never want it ever to go down, it is truth.
ok just chat as I see it, what happens happens in your thoughts but it is all about her now ya know. OK enough that as I know the stress you guys are under is huge!! HUGS!

--------------------so monsoon rains took break. hit grocery on luck no big rain. Got 11 Tbones on sale. 2 pork loins. 2 bacon. 1 pack hot dogs. Nathans on sale. Yea I eat once a year like 2-4 hot dogs and rest go into freezer to be thrown out a yr later. No one here like Nathans but I do

ok off to do whatever in this gray day of ick

Good Morning!

Happy December 1st! Up early for another hunting day. Sigh......I'm not planning on doing much today other than make another big pot of beef & noodles for Betty. It's easy to make and she loves it so much.

I'm not technically doing the Up Day/Down Day way of eating, but I'll throw in a DD(down day) when I feel like I want/need to. My main focus is to have at least a 16 hour fast each day. I thoroughly enjoyed my Up day yesterday and the scale only rebounded a half pound after a big drop after my DD. I had a Starbucks treat while my cleaning lady was here. I also went and browsed around Aldi. I'm really starting to like that store and feel that I can save some $$.

What are you all up to?

we are in gray type days mostly here.

we are all fighting the 'snotty crud' that kid brought home from school. she is doing more coughing and me and hubby got it in the head. I am clogged up big time....eh, what's new there? nothing HA

today is mostly nothing day. I don't feel like doing anything and probably won't do much.

got steak to eat today. might eat up some more hot dogs, kinda sick of them already. ate 4 yesterday and good but then I thought, ok another yr I will eat 4 again LOL but the pack is open and paid for so I think I will just get that pack eaten and put my hot dogs behind me.

Good Morning-

For you ladies with "nothing" to do- come fill a box! HAHAHAHAH.

Yeah, we have sun here RIGHT NOW but it slated to disappear and the clouds will settle in for the next few days! I am fingers crossed for NO rain Saturday or Sunday. My big days.

Lori- - Yeah, I like Aldie's for small shops. I can also get those egg Life wraps cheaper there. I would get the kids all their "SNACK" garbage foods there too when they were little.
They also have awesome holiday gift and seasonal items for a decent $$.

Trig-
- keep us posted on the vet appointment. Hope it all goes well.

Urghhhhhhh on the snotty noses. Don't forget you have Mussinex available to get off the shelf for the snots. I personally ALWAYS have that on hand. Always. Hope you all clear up soon!

You know every now and again I get a hankering for a really good Braut with a great mustard on it! Zero sugar and just dam good! I get wanting a hot dog. I DO eat those. I look very careful to get the ones with no high fructose in them. I am AMAZED the number of hotdogs with corn syrup in them? WHY?!?!?!?!?- I can't remember if Nathans is one I can eat.
I know Oscar Mayer has a "Natural" one without the syrup. BTW- notice the PRICE of a good hot dog lately?

You know I like hot dogs when I just want "a little something". I put the stone ground mustard on it, and I am GOOD.
So yeah, I get it.

Kiddo home today?!?!?!?

Nic- Where are ya girlie!?!?!?!?
------------------------------------------------------------------

So I am 99.9 done with packing. It is the small little crap I am actively using that will get tossed in a box at the very last minute and tossed in the car. Kitchen done, office done, bathroom done, bedroom done. I just need to have them break down the bed, roll up the carpet and away I roll.

I will be spending the night Sat. as I don't know how long the actual move will be. Add to that I will be tired. So, I will keep my blow-up bed and a set of sheets I am taking with me anyway. I will have my coffee pot and laptop. I'm golden. The coffee pot is on its last legs so when I am done it will hit the trash. Then I am off, I will begin yet another adventure! ROAD TRIP!!!!!!

Super busy here today. I need to pay up my bills from here, and square up last minute stuff .

I am STILL looking for insurance that offers out of network benefits. That is such a time suck. I called several agents only to get people who speak no English. PET PEEVE OF MINE. If you work in an AMERICAN CALL CENTER- SPEAK ENGLISH! Ask me how I feel?!?!?!?! LOLOLOLOL

After I get to "The Island" (Do you love it?) HAHAH- I need to then start on my CEU- for my license at warp speed! I need to renew it and have to have 24 classes before that happens. You know it seems my life goes in spurts. I go from ZERO to 360 MPH.

Well, my BFF and I had such a great conversation last night. I was pretty open about needing some time to adjust and she so agreed and said she needed some too. She is on her way to St. Simon for 4 months. (my beloved happy place). I will visit her for sure there! All is well.

Food: Everything is pretty cleared out except for a dozen eggs, several cans of tuna. sardines, and 4 burger patties to make up in my skillet. I am good.
I am thinking about whipping up tuna salad and frying up those burgers and eating on that for today and tomorrow. Sat. Moving day I will pick something up- thinking rotisserie chicken. Something I don't need to cook yet on plan. I will toss the rest and that is it!

Off to start this party.

Hey Peeps!

I'm currently listening to A Family Christmas (new album) on Spotify by Andrea, Matteo and Virginia Bocelli. So good!

Y'all would have laughed your butts off at me (and with me, once I thought about it) this morning. So during the night when I got up, I noticed I was a little off kilter but I thought maybe I was sleepy or whatever. Nope, I have some mild vertigo going on today. It happens, part of Ménière's disease, just haven't had it happen in a bit. So this morning I'm doing my thing around the DE house but a little woozy. I was unloading a bag of odds and ends I had brought and in there is our new DE tree topper- it's a starfish tree topper. Anyway, I decided to put it up. No, I didn't fall and yes, that was stupid with vertigo. But anyway, I got the stepstool and climbed up to try to put the topper on. Well, I've never done that before so I wasn't sure what I was doing. Anyway. I was already reaching up with one arm and then reached across and up with the other arm and TWANG! My back just twanged and immediately seized. I was like OH SH!T ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?! LOL So yeah today I am happily in DE but hobbled and bouncing off walls. lol

Other than that, all is well. Continuing on as I have been with my current WOE, don't feel the need to rock that boat and I am content with it. I'm really trying to make food less a focus overall of my life. Watching less videos, reading less about it, thinking less about different plans to try etc. I have one life to live and I do not want to devote mental and emotional energy (and time, so much time) to food anymore.

Today I'll just be keeping things low key, doing some Xmas wrapping and making a new pot roast soup since DS20 took my whole thing back to college with him. I clearly won't be playing any pickleball!

Jaz, so proud of you and how you have knocked your shi!t out with the packing, also having your son etc. Also glad you talked to your friend and got that worked out with no issues or conflict at all. Good stuff!

What is your DD getting her masters in? Education? And her Dh will be taking on the running of the business? Glad you got to see her.

Trig, aw poor Bolt. I hope it is nothing serious and just a little infection or something that is fairly easy to fix. The little guy has really had such a hard time. I hope kiddo feels better quickly and you and The Chop too.

Also super bummed for you about the buyer backing out on the lake house. That stinks. I was really hoping all that was behind you all.

Alarm clocks- I am also an instant riser and often awake before the alarm goes off. My Dh, though, used to be SUCH a snooze button hitter and it drove me INSANE. He never does that anymore. He does lay there for a while before he gets up- it's just not in his nature to get up quickly or wake up quickly. He takes a good 45 minutes in the bathroom getting ready every morning. I am in and out!

Lori, what did I miss about Betty and the hospital bed? I didn't see it when I went back but maybe I didn't go far enough back.

That's about it from here. Make it a great day!

Nic.....We're trying to ease into the hospital bed situation with Betty. It would make things a lot easier for us, and her, if we had one instead of her 2 twin beds pushed together that she has now. She uses one for her "desk" and it is piled high with everything she needs. Since she is totally bed bound, she has to have everything at arm's reach. Anyway, so far we have not been able to talk her into getting the hospital bed. She doesn't like change, as you can imagine. So....no progress on that front. I think push will come to shove at some point, but so far she, and us, are making do.

Jazz it seems everything is falling into place for you. Such the expert mover Good to you got a great response from your friend on your needing time. Of course good friends 'get it' LOL Cool. Moving Day, Sat. is tomorrow so it will all fall fast at ya now but again, you got this whipped!!

Living on 'The Island'....wow...I gotta say you got some cool life experiences happening for ya! Love it.

Jazz did you ever buy those small tenderloin pork loins from Smithfield. Little straps of pork meat. So tender. Around here they are like $4 lb which is cheaper than beef for sure. I love them. I buy the smaller ones and they make a meal. I cut it in slices and pan fry in some butter and omg....so good. You can do tons with them. I don't know, just wondering if you ever tried them, they are a zc staple for me.

Nicco.....wowza, I thought for sure it was gonna be ya fell! Thankfully you did not but then the back got ya! omg!! Colleague at work leaned across his truck seat to get a screwdriver and bam, tweaked back. Severe. He was out of work 6 months and then came back like 3 mos. limited work schedule. I tell ya just a 'move' or wrong stretch can nail ya to the wall.....I hope ya do ok thru that!!

I SO FEEL YOU about food and reading up on 'dieting lifestyle' stuff anymore. I dropped most of it for me now also. I almost can't 'take it anymore' ya know. Alot of years doing research and I know I know alot and 'get it for me' so I decided to to just do the lifestyle and forget 'reading about' it all the time. I can easily relate to what you are saying......believe me it is very freeing once ya give up the ghost of dieting info past

Lori I like Aldi too. here their eggs are 2.35 dozen and the grocery is near $5 a doz. now so yea I hit Aldi and buy like 4-5 doz.....just hope they don't raise up prices soon.

Glad your Up Down is going so well for you again, you always handled that lifestyle good! More power to you.

----------------SO BAD NEW GUYS
Bolt is very sick the vet believes. Abdominal cancer? It isn't his butt area, it is his innards. She took an xray of his belly and there is a mass of some sort, displacing and pressing on his stomach area etc. Not looking good at all. I can tell he is 'very off' and waiting on bloodwork etc. She chatted openly since she knows how 'farmer I am' and want it straight, but of course she did the 'doctor thing' and said lets wait to see, lets confirm etc but she also chatted don't think surgery, with his big seziures issues he wouldn't make it anyway, plus to this level there is no life after what is going down for him so she said basically, let it happen ya know. And I get what she is saying.

What is killing me is for kiddo. Oh boy. I can only hope he makes it past Xmas. I don't want this happening now for her ya know. I don't need the 'yea my dog died at Xmas' memory in her life. Bleck. But it is what it is and I told her all the info and she got a little zombie eyed and more but she is 'waiting for vet report' but I can tell ya, the vet report when it does 'come down' ain't gonna be good at all. Still trying to sugar coat it a little for her right now, can't go all in it is over for him ya know...ugh...Poor lil' Boltster.

gotta grab a steak to defrost for me and a small pork loin.

just get thru the day. getting super cold here. like 25 this morning. Brrrr....come on ya know HAHA Mind on 'when is early spring' now

be good all

Good Morning!

Oh Trig......I'm so sorry to hear about Bolt's issues. It is rough for sure.

Nic....OMG on the vertigo and then your back seizing up when up on a step stool! Be careful! Hope you woke up feeling much better this morning.

Jaz.....The big weekend is here! On the road again! Hope all the last minute stuff comes together for you.

--------

DH off hunting again and Gabby and I are just here trying to stay warm. It is like 23 degrees or something crazy like that. I'll be going to get Betty breakfast around 8 and then back at 10 to meet "M" there for care giving duties. Hoping to just lay low this afternoon. Maybe a nap!

That's it from here. Just another freakin' cold day!

Good Chilly Morning here!

Quickie post then headed out to the doctors for routine appt. Then back here to "tie up loose ends. The packing is all done, and the boxes are literally stacked up by the front door so the movers can grab and go.

Been up since 3:45 and unable never went back to sleep. The WHAT IF'S took over and that was it! I had an alarm set for 6 but got up at 445. Sipping coffee, read my emails, got my shower in and it's only 7:15. Need to leave here though in 30 minutes as it takes 30 minutes to get to the Doctors from here.
Nothing in Atlanta is fast or "down the road" here. Plan on an hour no matter where you go.

Back later for a "real" post! LOLOLOL
