Chris, one thing I have learned is that the number on the scale is only one part of getting healthy. The others include good sleep, hydration, learning to deal with stress, setting healthy boundaries in relationships, not trying to be everything to every one, and rewarding consistancy, which means finding what you can do consistently.
Entropy and I both lost weight and gained it back, I know for myself at least, the above mentioned healthy items make the scale number happen, early last year I stalled for 6 weeks, dealt with the other issues and then lost 2.6 lbs overnight.
I am working on sleep and hydration now, adding exercise slowly, put a couple boundaries into place yesterday.
So dont get depressed, get healthy.😎
