Bacon calendars... blue skies and sunshine... sounds nothing like Wisconsin winters.

I hope you are all doing great today. Another day on track.

Coffee as well as some eggs/sausage for breakfast. Sirloin tips, mushrooms, onions, and blue cheese dressing for lunch.

Not sure on dinner yet. Have to do menu planning and grocery shopping yet today.

As far as the snow and cold, I don't love it, but I wouldn't trade the 4 seasons of Wisconsin for anything. Love the distinct seasons and always look forward to the changes.

I like the 90 deg sunny days.. for about and hour or two. 90 is too hot!

Another day down and still on plan.

Food should be good today. Meals planned out (sausages, chicken leftovers, and something yummy for dinner) and I see no reason why I should go off plan today.

For the past 40 years, my automatic body cooler has been off-kilter so I don't sweat normally. Las Vegas weather is good for me because we have air conditioners on each floor of the house. LOL Winter is excellent for me, while heat and humidity together are deathly uncomfortable. All different, we.

Morning blood ketones measured 2.0 mmol/l so my macros are spot on.

Another day on plan, yes.

I don't like the humidity either. That is one of the things I don't like about Wisconsin is the humid summers. I love cool, arid conditions.

I've never measured ketones before. Is testing very accurate? Does it really let you know if your body is in ketosis?

I believe it accurately measures the number of ketones loose in my bloodstream at the moment. The ketostix measure "wasted" ketones. My doctor is a geriatric specialist in LC and when we did yearly blood tests, he tested for ketones. They agreed with my home meter.

People who only want to lose weight probably don't need to be in therapeutic ketosis. https://optimisingnutrition.com/the...ketogenic-diet/

leaving on 4 day holiday trip.
see ya when I get back and yes I will remain on plan every single minute. No intention of ever going off my plan and be good everyone! Holiday accountability on a thread is a good thing

Thanks for the link, Glenda. I wouldn't do the blood ketones, but I know a lot of people use ketone strips. Not sure how effective they are.

Have a blast on your trip, Karen! I have no doubts that you will stick to the plan and come back on track.

Food today is another simple day. Breakfast is Sausage/Cheese with Cofffe/H&H. Lunch will be leftover Chicken Gumbo. Dinner tonight will be Smoked Paprika/Coconut Pork Tenderloin & Veggies.

I'm also going to start tracking based on Thud's approach on the 90 day challenge thread. It works so well. And I don't have to worry about what date is what.

The thread started on Tuesday, November 24th and my plan is to end on Monday, Jan 4th. That is the 42 days (6 Weeks), if you include the 4th. The week is a bit off as it goes from Tuesday to Monday, but it works for me.

Food was good yesterday, no issues staying on track.

Similar plan for today. Coffee & Tea w/H&H for breakfast and a little bit of Red Leicester cheese from my advent calendar. Lunch will be leftovers from last night. Dinner will be another attempt at Pizza Calzones.

Not off plan and don't plan to go off plan today.

Goood Morning, everyone. It's getting a bit quiet in here. I'm guessing it will pick up around Christmas week.

How's everyone doing? Sticking with it? Back in your groove?

Things are going along nicely with my food plan. No great losses in the weight department, but that's OK. If I just have slow losses between Thanksgiving and New Years, I can't be upset. Normally it's huge gains between the holidays.

No plans to be off-plan today. Still working from home. Food is prepped and even pre-logged. 16 days completed!

I am right on track with you lowjax.

I am zero carb eater so for me eating any and all plant matter is eating off plan LOL so while on vacation I ate 1 crab stuffed mushroom cause the family was saying how darn good they were and I caved and ate one but it was no draw to me. while tasted good it meant nothing at all, I then preceeded to eat up my giant hunk of prime rib and grilled shrimp on the side for my meal I ordered.

so doing great....heading home from vacation trip today.

home, oh boy, eating my plan is SO much easier at home

Totally agree with you Karen about being easier at home. I hope you were able to have a good vacation though. Did you do anything fun?

It's another simple day of food for me. Breakfast is coffee & tea w/H&H.

Lunch will be a chicken breast with some green beans. Yeah, I know not the most exciting, but it's leftovers that have to get used up. I may put some cheese and salsa on it to give it some flavor.

Dinner tonight will probably be grilled beef tenderloin steak. I was supposed to make it last night, but the evening got away from us. We were out looking at a house and spent too much time there. It was 7:30 before we got home and I didn't want to start grilling then, so I just ate a cheese stick and slice of ham.

So, keeping it simple and staying on track.

Jeff, you're not alone in this big "Holiday Help!" room. LOL
Lending flavor to chix breast. I LOVE seasoned brown butter and this could be a good place for that. I use it myself. Also, some toasted thinly sliced almonds. I also keep toasted sesame oil at hand for that Asian flavor.
When the lockdowns started, I ordered Ghee in jars so I'd have plenty of butter.
I also keep it simple. Usually. If I'm hankering for something like cereal, I make a one-minute muffin with ground flax seeds. After cooking I chop it and add HWC. Voila! Hot cereal. Yum. Just a bit higher in carbs than I usually eat, but I don't do the muffin thing often because it contains an egg.
Onward!

Hey Glenda! Thanks for echoing back in the room.

I've not made seasoned brown butter before. Will have to head off to google to see how to make it. And interesting idea for breakfast. I've never had a flax minute muffin.

No issues at all for me yesterday. Dinner plans changed and had prime rib and green beans instead of tenderloin steak. The grilled tenderloin steaks will be today instead. I just HATE being on a "diet". It's so restricting.

Onward! (and downward for me!)
