Yeah, I wasn't too sure how to interpret the protein stuff, so I'll just go with you on this one.
As for the fat, I don't think we can put it aside so easily, not even for a discussion on protein. I'm thinking of the effect of dietary fat on protein metabolism. For example, glycerol, which reduces the need for other substrates for glucose production. Or, fat-solubles for red blood cells or overall energy metabolism. We're talking about 10g fat vs 150g fat, that's a huge potential effect. I'm not sure about this relationship between dietary fat and dietary protein but I think it's something to consider when we're talking about protein, especially since protein is already so low to begin with here, 50g/day or something.
