^I wish I liked seafood other than fish! So many good LC choices. And yeah, totally - real Italian food is absolutely LC friendly.

I cooked up some burgers (bunless for me of course) and had it on a bed of lettuce with SF ketchup and homemade dill pickles. Made a side salad with lettuce and homegrown tomatoes and bell peppers.

We splurged yesterday and grilled some wonderful sirloin steaks -- topped with mushrooms & onions sautéd in butter with mixed LC veggies and a salad on the side. Tonight, I'll grill up the last 2 steaks. I'll cut them in half this time. What we had yesterday was too much meat.

Was out at a meeting this evening so picked up a deep-fried chicken breast from the chip shop.
With a couple of gherkins for veg it was a tasty lowcarb meal!!

In the UK only KFC and its imitators put batter on chicken before frying it so it was lovely with crispy golden skin!!

Small steak with eggplant "fries" (wedges of eggplant baked with butter along with the steak, came out great!). Also a salad with cucumbers and avocado dressing (basically guacamole stirred with sour cream and a little cream added to make it not so thick).

Cream cheese pancakes with a syrup made of kerrygold butter, cinnamon and maple extract. It's my go-to super fat meal.

Breakfast for dinner? I like it. Thanks for posting your syrup recipe. I'll have to give that one a try. I've done SF strawberry preserves on LC pancakes, but that that has a few too many carbs for my liking.

^If you google it, you'll get lots of hits. I looked it up recently and there are several LC recipe bloggers who have good step-by-step photos and tips. If you want to find it on this site, it should be in the Table of Contents sticky in the Main Dishes forum.

My dinner = sliced avocado with sliced home-grown tomato with salt and pepper, and a boiled egg. Great dinner for a hot and humid night with no A/C.
