Default Dukan diet

Anyone ever tried the dukan diet? I've read the horrors of it but understand it to be low fat high protein.. But this is varied by phase eventually it's very similar to Atkins owl.. I'm just curious if anyone has done it..I'll admit I'm going to try it starting tomorrow.

There is nothing new under the sun when diets have only three macronutrients to work with! Dukan is similar to the Stillman diet from the 50s...here's a thread for it. Pull up my posts in it, I summarized macros by week. http://forum.lowcarber.org/showthread.php?t=445056

I need about 2000 calories at least a day no matter what, or I will eat my neighbour's brain (not as bad as it sounds, in the winter my closest neighbour is a porcupine or a troop of deer). That much lean protein is too expensive and makes me feel kind of blah.

Slightly higher protein, lower fat served me well about ten pounds ago, but doesn't work for me at my current weight. You won't know how it works for you until you try it.

My husband does it and swears by it. I actually started Atkins because I was trying to support him on Dukan, but just couldn't follow it. With what I now know about the importance of dietary fat, I don't personally "believe" in Dukan.....but hubby thinks Atkins is crazy, so whatever works!

well according to the book I'm going to do the attack phase for 3 days (today's day one) then about 40 days phase two (cottage cheese , meat, eggs, veggies) then add in one fruit slowly inter grate others...very similar to others... But I signed up for the web site for the accountability... Keeping my fingers crossed.
