I've heard a few stories like that, so I don't use mine except when baking at less than 400', certainly not for broiling!

Hmmm... after reading this thread I might just give mine all away:

I've heard that they've changed the glass formula and that is why they are breaking now. Mine are from the 70's and have stood up to a lot and are still in daily use.

I do bake my chicken like the recipe but only at 400 in my glassware. It crisps up nicely and takes any spice combo put on it. Lately I've been using McCormacks BBQ spice, and the other one I like is Orange vinegar with citrus balsamic.

Thanks for this recipe - it was delicious, easy, and a hit for the family. I forgot to marinate it - just did the butter/spices and right into the oven - I'm sure it would have been better marinated, but it was still good. Also, I used a different spice blend (no sugar) but will add the Montreal Steak mix to my shopping list for my next trip to the States!

Me too! It was ages ago but I remember it very clearly. I followed a recipe for shark with a lime marinade that was then baked in a Pyrex 9x9" pan. As I removed the pan from the oven, some of the juice from the fish rose up out of the fish and rolled off onto the hot glass. The whole thing exploded in my hand. There was glass (and fish) everywhere. I don't remember being injured but I was quite shocked. I have since gotten rid of all my Pyrex and replaced it with ceramic, clay, and stainless steel.

I think I'll give that a try, Peggy. Your shawarma seasoning is still one of my all-time favorites.

Hi, Roxanne! Yes, long time no see. I've just gotten so busy posting/replying on my recipe site, and also posting on LOW CARBING AMONG FRIENDS Facebook page (those are the cookbooks my recipes appear in), I don't get to the forums as often as I used to. Plus it's been tax season when I'm swamped doing our, Mom' and the Trust tax prep. And had to place Mom in an Alzheimers/dementia care facility in Feb.

I hear ya girl. I started gaining when I trialed Paleo Whole 30's fot 60 days and need to buckle down and get serious and get this 15# off! Hang in there......we can do it, girl!
