artificial sweeteners can stall you, as can too much cheese, nuts or processed food. this means sausage link and other really salty food. You may not be in ketosis yet so you should probably invest in some test strips so you know if what you are doing is working.

O and I'm a guy

Thanks! xplnusa, you and I are close in weight and our goal is similar as well. What is your height?

By the way, I'm down two pounds today. I ate some peanuts last week and kicked myself out of ketosis. Time to buy some macadmias.

I'm 6'4. I'm on LC until Thanksgiving day. I'm looking forward to mashed potatoes, stuffing, bread, and pumpkin pie. Then I'm back on until Christmas. After Christmas, I'm going to try to have a nice 3 (or longer) month stretch.

I've read that the longer you are in ketosis, the quicker the body goes back into ketosis. I read about one guy who was in ketosis for an entire year. He would have a cheat meal, and get back the next day.

That is where I want to be.

Anthony, you can do it! The most important thing is when you fall off, to get right back on. I don't know why I keep going back to eating the carb-filled junk, it makes me feel terrible! I feel so much better eating LC.

It's just like quitting cigarettes for me. It has taken many, many tries.

So much of it is mental, and it took for me to finally accept that this is the way I have to eat for life.

I had one cheat meal in the past three months and didn't turn it into a binge. For me, that was huge.

Let us know how its going. Are you taking ALA and/or chromium to help speed getting into ketosis?
