Thats great. I love swimming too and I like floating on a raft or a tube even better. I can't wait until I can do it without being self consious. Its one pieces for me, tankinis just don't work with my mid section being so umm "large".

congratulations on your accomplishment!

That Butt Paste is working very well - handles the itch and my skin is healing. Thank you.

I've got my new Tankini and boy shorts; I think I'll be able to hit the water on Monday. Waxing my legs & pits this weekend.

Update: had a relapse in my skin condition. I thought it was almost healed, and so proceeded to wash some dishes (with rubber gloves); waxed my legs; showered; removed old nail polish; exfoliated my heels (although I tried to avoid getting the cream on my hands); washed my hands again; and then put on some more Butt Paste. I immediately got oozing bumps on the problem area - AFTER I APPLIED THE CREAM. Other creams have produced similar results. An internet search on "heat rash" gave me several sites that recommend keeping the area cool and dry. (I did this before, to the point that it was no longer bumpy and oozing, but so dry that skin was flaking off, and when the dead skim came off, tender new skin underneath, which I proceeded to moisturize, and started the process ALL OVER AGAIN.

I am so frustrated!! I just don't know what to do with extremely dry skin, to return it to "normal" condition without getting these itchy bumps again! I guess it's time to see the dermatologist. I had hoped I could find a home remedy. Maybe not yet.

that's a thought ... believe it or not, I once used olive oil, which was fine, although a little heavy, and made me smell like a salad.

Went to urgent care this AM to get a prescription for triamcinolone cream (topical steroid). He also prescribed an over the counter antihistamine. This should do the trick.
Keeping fingers crossed.

I'm bummed for ya - hope the new ointments help! I wonder if you are allergic to something else in the creams? Must be such a frustrating puzzle for you.

A side note - I once had an aquafit instructor who wore a unitard to class - sleeveless and bike short length. A lot of women here wear leotards into the pool because they are Muslim. I don't know where the shortie unitard came from, but it was cool.

the new ointment worked. My skin has healed and I went swimming TODAY. Just half an hour of continuous movement - slow laps, treading water, water walking. Ahhhhhh.
