Dee,

Wow, sounds like things are going great for you! I'm glad you had a good time and it's really great when your clothes just start falling off you and people really start noticing! Keep up the good work

Yes, I don't care as much about weighing myself right now.. I'm losing inches, I'm losing pounds.. that's what matters

I AM going to be buying a scale though.. I know this contradicts what I just said, but I do what to be able to see to some degree how I'm doing, and be able to gauge my success.

Darn those scales.. it's a love/hate thing

lol

Angry The dagnabbit scales

Hi Brianna and all.

Yes, there is definately a love/hate relationship with the scales. While I lost in inches this week, that dumb scale would only give up 1/2 a pound! I am happy that it is 1/2 pound in the right direction.

I do not and will not have a scale in my house. It is
a. tooooooo depressing.
b. tooooooo stressful.
c. just toooooo tempting to constantly weigh myself.

I am with you all the way...inches mean more to me now than the pounds...too bad I keep finding the tape measure!

Dee

Way to go Donald!!!

I hit 25lbs yesterday myself.

I gotta say, for the first time in my life, I actually feel like I'M IN CONTROL of what I eat. It's a good feeling. Thanks to everyone in the TDC for your support.

God Bless you all.

Talking You guys are so-o-o cool!

Lots of good things happen to those who take control of their life situation. I am often reminded what a friend of mine told me..."in life, you have what you want or, you have the reasons why!" I thought about that for a while and then took action. November 2, 2001 I stepped on the scale at my doctors office and was shocked by seeing it say 398! I’m a diabetic, hypertensive, 400 pounds and almost unable to work because of severe injuries received in the line of duty as a police officer when a fleeing felon ran me over with a stake bed truck! I was a wreck and I walked with a cane.

Today, I soon will be starting my sixth month of this WOE and I love it. I am very well fed, I have experienced a marked weight loss (100+ pounds) and while I am a Type II Diabetic and always will be, I’m now off all diabetic meds. The doctor took me off the high blood pressure medications, my triglycerides are normal, the complex HDL/LDL cholesterol was 80. I am off all pain medications too and I was on a lot (350 mgs per day) of morphine, now I can walk with only minor discomfort, the more I walk the less I hurt. I have been on a plateau for the last 20 days, but I’m hanging in and keeping to the WOE. I may not be loosing pounds, but my clothing no longer hurts me and body mass is moving around a lot! I just hate baggy pants! My seat has enough room for a family of Gypsies to move in!

Great stories and comments, I am so impressed by the company I keep.

today I reached 165...same as I did a little over 8 years ago on my wedding day...And I am in much better shape than I was then!

there is still 25 lbs to go, but that is nothing compared to the 58 I have lost since September 2001..7 months ago.

Aren't we all wounderful!!!!!

Talking Jim Congrats!!!!

Hey Jim, you are looking great!!!

Your story is very inspiring. I am starting week 10 and am an there with the feeling. This WOE is great!!!

I got into the smallest pair of jeans I kept during my climb up the scale. It's hard to believe that in Dec. these pants didn't make it up to my knees, nevertheless the hips.

Keep up the great work Jim and all...

Dee
