I like the saying "Fall seven times get up eight" Everyone falls, it's the getting up part that matters......

I like that saying! My fav all time saying is by Thomas Edison and it means about the same thing. My poor daughter who is struggling at math and has some learning problems hears me say Edisons quote at least once a week.... He said:

"I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. "

Think how exciting this is! This time next year you'll be coming back to the thread encouraging other TDCers!!!!

Yeah, I hope so. I just came through a 2 week stall. Truely it was a gain, but now I am down 2 more pounds, from my low weight. Hopefully I will still be here next year working on my next 100 pounds. That's my plan anyway. "Stay the course. Keep your eye on the prize."

"I have not failed, I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work. " is the quote I use so often its nice to see others do too.

At home yesterday, my 20yr Daughter (pdd-nos Autism) asked to order out and I said no, she called me basically a party pooper and that I wasn't fun anymore"

I've been avoiding eating out due to the differculting getting something good to eat other that a salad with meat on it.
(I did find a nice place that does skewered meat, that delivers)
but its easier to keep track of calories, fat, and carbs if you don't eat out.

I agree 5 pounds is always something to be pround of... WAY TO GO!! Well I have my pedometer on and my dog is all leashed up and ready to go, better take him for his walk and get my daily excersize in! Tomarrow is my weigh in day, I am hoping to see a loss (fingures crossed as I have been realy staying on plan and working hard!).

Just a suggestion Lessara--most chains have their nutritutional info online. I go and get the ones where I eat at sometimes, I enter them as a custom food right into my fitday. And if you're planning on eating out, sometimes I go there and peruse the menu to see what's good for LC.

I am new here, may I join you here. I really need to lose over a 100 lbs. and just cannot do it on my own.
I just started today on low carb, was doing just calorie counting but that was not helping me much.
I even tried WW and it did nothing for me either. So I am praying that low carb will. I hear that it is the best way to lose the weight.
I am really serious about losing the weight to so please help me out .

I, too, agree that 5 pounds is always good! I have lost 5 pounds this month, for a total of 12 pounds since March! Slow going but at least it is coming off and although I don't feel lighter and my clothes are not much looser I am happy to see the scales moving in the downward direction!

Good luck to all!

I think what the experts claim is a healthy rate of loss is no more than 1-2 pounds a week. This is after the first few weeks.

You are more than welcome here, Sissypoo. I can't wait to hear more from you.

Thats what I am aiming for a 1-2 pound lost a week now. So far I have lost 5 lbs. this first week on induction. I was really glad to see that but I know alot of it water coming off me because the swelling in my feet is gone.
I know I retain alot of fluid so I was happy to see alot of it go. I may not have lost much fat with these 5 lbs. gone but i am already feeling better.
