OK, I've been in convulsions about the vegetarian with the vapors and the asploding kidneys. Whew.

My own experience was telling a friend I was switching from Jenny Craig to Atkins and his first response was "didn't he die of a heart attack?"

WTF??!! No, dear, he slipped on an icy sidewalk and cracked his head on the concrete. sheesh.

As to the anorectic fanatatic supermodel coworker and her ilk, perhaps the best response would be to ask where she came up with her incredibly INCORRECT opinion. About the time she claims that "everybody knows that" you could then ask her for the STUDIES that prove her point. When she cannot quote them or name them you can then point out that all she's doing is spreading gossip, rumor and innuendo. Until she has the hard facts in her cold little hands she'd do well to mind her own business.

Thanks for the giggles guys.

I loved the vapors/steam comment.

I'm still fielding interesting emails from a vegetarian who thinks I need education. In fact, we started out on a first-name basis, and now he's calling me "Ms. VanEaton". I almost told him, "It's Miss Jackson if you're nasty."

I refrained, but I'm still laughing.

You could say, "Stupidity is a disease too. One of which there is no cure for, I am sorry to say".

I suspect she's probably a vegan and was more responding to the belief that you eat whole live animals at each meal.

You know... one could have a lot of fun if one was willing to make a mess. I'm thinking of some "bladders" of fake blood hidden beneath the clothes and popping them and screaming, "OH MY GOD! MY KIDNEEZ ASPLODED!"

For best results, one should be munching on a piece of bacon at the appropriate moment.

everytime someone tells me they're a grazer, I picture them out in the pasture with the cattle (who have 4 stomachs and can handle all the carbs)

Three weeks ago, after years of eating carbs again...my fasting blood sugar was 115 (120 is considered diabetic)......yesterday it was 86.....only 3 weeks of low carb!!!!!!

Wow....some people are so ignorant...and believe everything the media feeds them.

Very sad!

Yes, but don't forget cattle are slow and fat.

It;s so easy to just look at the "natural" animal world.....herbavores are slow and fat....the carnivores....fast and lean...the top of the food chain. Coinicidence???? I think not! LOL

Hee hee hee...this thread is awesome. Who knew that one moronic statement from a bubble-headed coworker could keep so many entertained for so long!

Since the cartoon was mentioned...here it be!
