I don't believe in scales. They create neurotic people.

Well, good for you.Loose clothes are always a great way to guage weight, but the health care world weighs in and that is the standard for many things. I will add that:
They (scales)are a tool. A tool that sometimes need some information to the user. Scales don't "create" anything. They report. This article helps alleviate some stresses that numbers cause may or may not cause and educates on the biophysical and metabolic changes that happen during weight loss attempts .... I guess school can create neurotics too... ya know, all those tests and stuff?

This totally explains why you suddenly "lose" a lot of weight on the scale after weeks and weeks of hard work!!! Thanks for the info

TOO FUNNY! Will confess I taught nursing...ouch! but I don' t sting often and all my kids are teachers...yipes! I am queen bee with a nest!!

I wanted to get a bumper sticker that read.. you can make your kids go to school but you can't make them learn!

Fact is, I hated school as a kid and so did my kids. Makes for teachers that have better approaches for getting kids interested
Today I love my scale

Hi Happy Mich, Isn't it amazing how such a small item can cause such major garbage
It has made such a big difference in my outlook as well. It's a tool, not the end all!
