Umm...errrr...it seems as though I've eaten the entire bag of SF mint patties, however, I haven't eaten any today.

Yea, not cool.

Or necessary for that matter.

Hey girls, found ya over here! I have dinner in the crock pot, thought I'd share the recipe as it can easily be made LC.

Sour Cream Pork Chops:

Desired number of pork chops (3 to 6 depending on size)
1 onion sliced in 1/4 " slices
salt, pepper, garlic powder to taste
flour or some kind of substitute for dredging/thickening
chicken broth or boullion
8 oz sour cream

season chops with s/p/garlic powder, dredge in flour (or suitable substitute) then brown in skillet about 5 min on each side, put in crock pot, place sliced onions on top, pour 2 cups chicken broth or 2 boullion cubes with 2 C. boiling water, cook on low 7 to 8 hours. Remove chops from crockpot, keep warm. Stir 1 T. flour or thickener into sour cream, then blend into meat sauce, serve over chops.

Anyway, the recipe got rave reviews on allrecipes.com and I thought I'd give it a whirl. I'm serving it with whole wheat egg noodles and a salad. My oldesd dd is already complaining.....she hates meat.

Sounds really good Cristy! Sounds like the pork chops covered in cream of mushroom soup I use to make. I spose I could mix sour cream and sauteed mushrooms together to get the same thing.

Hmmm, thanks for the idea

Yea, how are you feeling?

feeling a bit better, still nauseous but not so bad. I have an rx for zofran but haven't taken any today. Let's just say it slows the digestive process. Therefore my lunch is a bowl of all bran cereal.

My capris I have on today are tight when I sit but not when I stand. Oldest dd asked me why my clothes are getting tight if the baby is only about an inch long now. I had to explain that there was also the enlarging uterus, placenta and fluid.

I'm trying really hard not to gain too much weight this time!!

I'm feeling better, actually. Thanks for asking. It's a good thing, too, because I worked this weekend and dh was sick, which meant the kids had minimal supervision and the house is absolutely trashed. I'm slowly but surely trying to work on fixing that.

I'm going to be trying to come up with more crock pot ideas. I'll let you guys know if I find any others that could be LC as well.

Any favorite crock recipes you want to share???

I tend to just randomly toss things in a crockpot.

I'm glad you're felling better! It's funny that you had to explain that stuff to your DD!

DD's a hoot. I have this thing where I can't stand paper rattling, like bags that snacks come in, especially. Anyway, we were driving in the van and she was making some kind of noise, and I asked her to stop doing it. She said, "You should learn to handle stress better now, because you don't want to scare the baby." She went on and on about how I can do things differently and I just said, "stop right there and let's not continue this conversation."

OMG, she's like my mother!!!

That's hilarious about your DD!!

Zofran worked to keep stuff down for me, although it didn't cure the nausea. I actually found that Reglan worked better, but I didn't find that out until the third trimester when the sickies came back bad.
