For that matter, it's quite possible that her use of "Dr" doesn't even mean "doctor." Maybe it represents something entirely different that has significance for her. I do hold a doctoral degree, definitely not in medicine, and I've never seen a patient in my entire life other than those sitting in my own medical doctors' waiting rooms when I walk in!

my sil is a pharmacist, and a moron. The in-laws think she's *wonderful*... and they call her "dr. rob"..... so sometimes having dr. in there doesn't even mean squat!
The subject is gross, DrH was in a sense agreeing with the OP who herself regarded it as innapropriate.
