Meet another native, ddog, LOL......I was actually born in Los Angeles, but grew up from the time I was seven years old in Yuma. I'm living in my hubby's hometown now -- El Centro, CA, 60 miles away from the AZ border. All my family is still in Yuma, so I drive over there often.

Also lived briefly in Phoenix and Kingman.

Can't say I will agree to pray for rain right now....mid 70's sunshine is perfect for sunbathing! Not too many people in this country can sunbathe in Jan....because it is too freaking HOT in the summer, LOL

Hey everyone. Lived In AZ for almost 28 yrs, give or take a few months in Alaska and In MASS, currently Live in El Mirage, was in phx for some 25. Been Lc'ing for about 3 yrs, hit some trouble some 6 months ago trying to dig my way back up. GLAD to have some locals here to chat with.

Glad to see people talking here again. I am usually in AZ in the Winter and east coast during the summer...

But it may change this year high cost of fuel may be prohibiting me flying too much

yea they say gas may go up to 4$ here. THAT is crazy, was watchign the news last night, triple a rep said there is no reason that they can see to raise the gas prices.... but they do!

hey all! I live in Tempe. work in phoenix. playing hooky at work and looking at the forums. I read the LC resteraunts around here very cool. Another obvious one, Outback Steak house. Just don't get potato or the cheesy fries. Also, YC's Mongolian BBQ. Put extra meat and veggies (especially cabbage.) and then check online for nutritional info on sauces and you have a great LC feast!

Nice to know that lots of neighbors are also low carbing. I am a long-time low carber but I've had a couple of bad years and I gained most of my weight back. Just got in from a NICE long walk -- that's another thing we can love about AZ -- can you IMAGINE trying to walk in Michigan right now?? Yikes!

I love Trader Joe's. You can go to their website for the exact addresses. I know there is one in Sun City.

There is a thread here on this forum somewhere where everyone wrote what their favorite products were from TJ's.

And if you want great prime rib, go to Claim Jumper. They only serve it on Fri, Sat. and Sun after 4 PM. It's GREAT!

Hi All, I'm Steff & I'm in Sierra Vista, closest town that people recognize would be Tombstone or Bisbee. We have lived here 3 times. DH was in Army, been back since Dec 92 - he retired, just from the Army though. Thought we would stay here always, but it's getting too crowded & too much traffic, considering moving, but haven't decided where. But for the next few we will be here.
