Yup - Tucson - been here a couple years - lived a bunch of places - like it but not sure if it's my final move - it's beautiful here - the mountains are really close and there's tons of wildlife - and, of course, the weather is scrumptious this time of year.

we have been here 5 years...not going anywhere (other than another community) anytime soon. Dh loves the weather and this is where the job is. :-)

We are moving to Vistancia next summer though (little further west but still in Peoria.)

LizzyLC - Peoria is in the west valley (next to Glendale which is next to Phoenix) Vistancia is in Peoria...by where Loop 303 meets Happy Valley Road. (North and west of the Loop 101 upper corner)

It is great to meet all of you!! It is funny to me to hear all of you say you have only been here 5 years or so. This is since I am an Arizona native, born and raised in AZ.

Hi ddog and everyone!

I'm in Phoenix. I've been here just over 7 years and I love it! I'm from NJ originally, and I miss the ocean (it was only about a 35 min. drive from my house). I've been to San Diego, and the Pacific is just not the same as the Atlantic!

5kiddos - I am near Bell Rd. and 7th Ave. We're not very far at all!

Well, I'm happy to meet my neighbors! Maybe we could find a central place and get together someday!

Would you like to see my Arizona Snowman?

Happy Holidays!

I'm here in the Verde Valley and came her 18 years ago from Oregon via Alaska (what a change!). Grew up in Portland between the Willamette and Columbia rivers and then spent 18 of the 20 years in Alaska along the coast so I really miss the water but feel more at home here than I ever have anywhere else.

Seems like several of us have lived by the water. I grew up in S.F. and sailed all the time on the Bay. then after college and marriage...we moved to Seattle. Spent 5 years there and then came here. I love it here...but I do really miss the water...

locarbbarb - I prefer the Pacific. LOL. And we are almost neighbors!

I agree..we all should meet sometime. Maybe mid-Jan??

As for me...I have had a bad day food wise today...ate some Chex muddie buddies. ugh. You would think that with getting to 163 yesterday (only 3 from my original goal) I would be motivated enough to resist. Oh well...another new day tomorrow. This is a WOL not just a phase. I can hardly believe it has been almost 11 mo since I started this WOE.

Merry Christmas all...
