Yes, provided you have ground up the flax yourself and froze it straight away. It is otherwise amazingly fragile and oxidizes real fast. Same thing is true with Vit C- people who squeeze oranges and allow the juice to sit more than 5 minutes make this mistake as well.

Yes, I am grimly sticking it out..I guess our biggest self-induced difficulty is expecting our last fat stores to just fall off quickly.
After all, it probably took me a year to put it on, and I am only just now in VT after almost 4 months of low cal dieting and one 2 week break.

One thing is for sure though..I really am going to have to maintain this discipline to not regain the fat..I am hoping the weights training is going to assist. That is not a magical solution, but it looks like many people who do weights have to eat more calories eventually, otherwise there is no muscle growth. I am not going to go overboard with it while on a hypocaloric diet though.

This has been an interesting journey so far. As Lyle says, your body does not love you.

Yup, I almost fell over when I realized how many calories I was consuming in my almond meal/flaxseed bowl muffins...no wonder I gained weight as I was eating these frequently. I haven't even ventured one for a free meal yet.

I finally got around to updating the PSMF spreadsheet to include what people seemed to want...basically, remaining carbs and fat as well daily totals, and a cleaned up presentation. If anyone cares to host it I can send it to them to make available to everyone else.

No problem, I just needed something to prod me to get it done...I didn't really have to add that much anyway.

Hey Guys-- I just want you all to know how much I appreciate this thread. When I made a comment about fasting (Fat Fast) in the Atkins forum, it was not met with much acceptance. At least here, I know that all of you are reducing your calories too. I guess some people don't realize how difficult it is for some to lose weight (or how messed up their metabolisms are!)

Anyway, thanks again for all your support!

PB Girl, I'll let you in on a little secret. If you look in the top right corner of everyone's name, where it says: "Plan," you will see MANY who have opted for "lo cal/lo carb... Rest assured that most of them are looking at what we're doing, and lowering their calories to 1,200. Look a little more closely, and you shall find...... LOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!

Well, I think most of us have been there with the Atkins not working any longer. What can you do except experiment like mad and try to find something that works?

I know some people latch onto a plan and develop a religion out of it but I can't do that because I've never had any diet plan work out all that well. I've always had to fuss and alter and make them work for me. I'd love to be one of those guys (always seems to be guys, doesn't it?) that loses all their weight in 3 months of endless calorie consumption just so long as they're low carb.

Oh yeah... Atkins... I loved it for a little while But dang...it quit working completely. It works now as maintenance for me, but if I want to lose, I have go VLC.

Ah well... I guess some of us have to do it the hard way, right
