Wow, the prices on that page look really good! And $5 for shipping is CHEEEEEP!

Hi jeanyyy and others,

What should we do about a November get-together? Any thoughts?

Rugby Grill (not open for lunch), Mongolian Grill, Stephos, The Keg? Anyone else?

Memphis Blues is cool, but not really conducive to groups...

Jeanyyy - any of those spots are fine with me. I haven't been to them so can't say which one is the best for groups and getting together and chatting. You decide.

What kind of date or time would work best? I know there used to be some Vancouverites getting together - what time generally worked best before?

Sally - That, I don't know... it was before my time. We'd have to ask Karen or Ruth or perhaps Marlaine!

Karen mentioned last night that there will be a Fish House dinner in November some time... but that might be a bit expensive for some folks?

I have been wanting to do one of the Fish House dinners for a while. It is hard for DH and I to get away together on a week night since someone has to be here to do all the kids sports stuff etc but if I had someone to go with I could leave him in charge and sail off to have a lovely dinner!

Is anyone else interested in a dinner there or do others want to meet somewhere else? I am open to anything!

We used to meet at 6:00 for dinner but if there are people who have to commute, maybe 7:00 would be better.

We have had a group of 8 at Memphis, but we were there at 6:00. The Commercial Dr. location doesn't seem to be as busy. Both Stepho's and Memphis allow me to bring a LC dessert to the dinner.

Best nights for me are Monday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday unless something else is planned.

I'd love to come, and have quite a bit of flexibility in my schedule, so I can make any day/time work...

Ok, taking the bull by the horns, so to speak... how about Stepho's on Thursday, Nov 6th, 7 PM? Hoping that Stepho's takes reservations- I will check on that! It is located on Davie, bet Thurlow and Bute and there is usually metered parking available across the street at Shoppers... Fare is Greek food, souvlaki and the like and quite LC friendly, from what I've seen. Would that work?

Hey Jean et al....

Thanks for the heads up. I've put this date in my daytimer and I'm planning to come, barring having to work.

Marlaine

P.S. Those Hot & Spicy Pork Rinds from Superstore are the ones that I use to do breaded turkey thigh cutlets. Just the right amount of spice to make it absolutely delicious though I eat them sparingly because I find that they are too salty for me.
