I have to agree. It was an odd colour (very dark) and it tasted like Bovril with mushrooms. Ack. Won't be buying that again, in fact, I threw the remaining two sachets away in disgust. I wonder if the Thai Chicken or Spicy Tomato ones are any better? I'm very wary of trying them now.

Hey there - the tomato one is ok - bearable - but you need to leave it to 'brew' for a while to get a fuller flavour. The thai chicken ones are definately the one with the most taste.

I added 2 splenda tablets and some salt and pepper to make the tomato soup taste of something - might have achieved a similar effect (and cheaper) by adding same to hot water and a spoonful of LC tomato sauce!!!!
I'm afraid to try the mushroom now - varying shades of 'vile' certainly don't recommend it to me! I wish I had read the reviews here before I bought them at the weekend Got carried away when I spotted them and grabbed up a selection of everything on offer. The croissants were quite nice at 7.5 carbs - lovely filled with bacon and cheese and heated in the micro. Only for occasional consumption, I suppose, but nice to know they're there, for the present anyway.

No sorry - haven't see that. Has anyone seen the low carb chocolate at Boots - the orange one is heavenly.

yummy boots low carb chocolate - although their diabetic chocolate bars are almost identical and a hell of a lot cheaper, just not orange flavoured

I treated myself to the lo-carb dark chocolate bar yesterday.
1 net carb and 183 cals...it was very nice...but the milk chocolate one is better. I'll try the mint one when my next treat is due.

I have been indulging once a week in the Locarb chocolate from boots - full of polyols but no weight stall from eating it which I was worried about. I have however found that it now gives me awful bloating after I have eaten one - Really painful so I am beginning to wonder if its worth it?
