I ordered a signed copy directly from the restaurant and paid via PayPal. It's a couple of weeks ago. But due to Christmas and snailmail between Canada and Norway it will probably take some time before I get it. I'm soooo looking forward to exiting new low carb recipes !! And according to lost of posts on this forum I will not be dissappointed !

I got a copy at my favorite local bookstore a week or so ago, and so far every recipe I've tried has been awesome! I highly recommend the Lemon Mereingue Souffle for those who are lovers of lemon mereingue pie!

Hey fellow Karen-fans. I too am sitting with the book in hand. I've only tried a few recipies so far (yes - ALL AWESOME!) and i'm sitting here contemplating whether or not to bake the brownies or the pumpkin chiffon pie for company in two days. I can't decide and I've only got enough Splenda for one of the recipies. help! anyone try either and have a 'review' of how it turned out? of course, they'll both be great, but i just thought i'd ask for some additional help...thanks.

I tried the caulifried rice for dinner. YUM! I added olive oil, tomatoes, and feta and it was fabulous. It still tasted like cauliflour, but since the taste of cali is so mild, I thought it was really good. The important thing was that the consistency was like rice. I will be making this again.

Hi Karen

I made the halibut with a pine nut topping - last week I was out of pine nuts so used ground almonds which was good but made it again with pine nuts and the flavour was really intense.

What a great recipe.

Thanks

Tony

Are you going to have your book out on CD? I'm hooking my computer up in the kitchen so I can just read the recipes off the monitor. I have almost 1000 recipes in my data base but of course I never have enough! LOL

Don't think it will be low-carb unless the low-carb market goes on the upswing.

I write a bi-monthly food column for the Vancouver Sun, so the next book will probably be a collection of the columns.

That's up to the publisher and so far, they haven't mentioned it.

They are however, publishing a revised, UK edition.

Now there's something I didn't know...would you happen to have a quick link to an archive of your column ?

I think you have to be a 6-day subscriber to access certain portions of the archives. I looked for the column in yesterday's Sun today, and a sign-in box popped up.
