Default Crunchy Fried Chicken

I can't seem to find the recipe, but I wanted to bring it up front. Donald has did the fried chicken last week, coating the chicken pieces in the pork rind crumbs. I tried it and it was absolutely fabulous. I also threw the rest of the TVP (texturized vegetable protein) that was sitting around in the blender as well to make a large batch of bread crumbs...

It was out of the this world. Crunch factor was awesome.

Cut up chicken pieces (6)
3 eggs/ seasonings, water mixed thoroughly

3 cups of pork rind crumbs (from the bottoms of the bags, saved)
1 cup of TVP
dehydrated onion flakes
garlic powder
curry powder
cumin powder
oregano
Mixed up and pulverized in blender

vegetable oil for frying

Heat up the oil in a heavy skillet. I used vegetable oil to coat the bottom to up to an inch. when drops of water in oil start to pop, oil is ready for frying.

dredge the chicken (w/skin or w/o~~ up to you)
in egg mixture and then into crumb mixture and then into frying pan.
fry 7 minutes on medium to medium high on one side, flip and fry on other side about 7 minutes.
Drain on newspapers or paper bags.

Find some yummy dipping sauces with 0 carbs in the bottled salad dressing section of the supermarket.

I've seen people mention pork rinds on this site before but i've never seen them in the grocery store or even at the low carb grocery store. It could be 1) my ignorance 2) no looking hard enough or 3) an american thing. I've also never heard of TVP. If there are any Canucks who know where to get such things (especially torontonians) let me know. I saw Donald's recipe before and it looks amazing!

Fried pork rinds are in the potato chip isle.
TVP (texturized vegetable protein) looks like dried bread crumbs, usually found in health food stores or israeli stores.

The picture that donald put up, is exactly what the chicken looks like..

and that walden farms 0 carb BBQ sauce, found in the bbq sauce section of the grocery store, rocks!!!!!!

little salt and pepper.. and you have orgasm food.
