Default ~~~Countdown To Size 16!!! (Size 18's and over)~~~SEPTEMBER

Hello,

This is a new challenge that does not involve checking how much you weigh. Since our weight can fluctuate day to day, hour to hour, and since some of us have exercise and weight training as a part of our routines, I don't think that relying on the scale is the right way to judge our progress. Anyway, it's enough to drive you crazy watching that scale!!

So, all of us who are size 18+, I thought we could have a challenge to get down to size 16. All we need to do is check in, daily if possibe, and tell what lc meal we have had and what exercise we have done, or just shoot the breeze if you want. No strict rules since we all have our own routines and eating plans.

One thing we don't want to do is weigh!!! Let's judge our progress by the fit of our clothes and by inches lost if you desire to.

See ya all later!

This is a good idea, not to weigh yourself but to go by how your clothes fits.

I'm in. But I won't start re-Induction till the 15th so I'll start posting then.

I'm a 20 right now and have a pair of 18 jeans and 16's in my closet. I try them on every once in a while hoping they will pull up.

WE CAN DO IT!

Thumbs up count me in!

Hi Ladies!
I am in another challenge but can't see any reason I can't be in 2. I am a size 18 right now most of the time...sometimes a 20 depending on the cut of the clothes.
Was down to a 16 2 years ago so have lots of size 16 misses waiting for me to wear them again.
I can't do real weight training due to a disability I have but I do walk and do yoga so that has to help.
I love this idea! When do we start?

Hi everyone, Well it was a good day. Never cheated once. Now if the night goes as well, it will be great. I had 3/4 cup low carb cereal for breakfast w/1/2 c. skim milk and 1 packet sweet-n-low, lunch was salad, tuna salad made with low fat mayo, easy on the mayo 1tsp. green pepper and 1 tablespoon onion, diced. dinner was 1/2 c. brown rice, with 3/4 c. pepper steak made with low carb veggies. Well, girls was it ok. I think it was. Feed back please.

Smile Hi All

Hi All,
reporting in with menu for 9/7/04

Breakfast-1 wasa fiber rye crisp bread (5 net carbs) with 2 slices land of lakes cheese, coffee with half and half

Lunch-1 wasa with 2 Tab LC p'nut butter and 5 oz plain yogurt

Dinner-hamburg patty w/1 TAB LC ketchup, faux mashed potatoes made out of cauliflower and cream cheese (recipe given to me by another member and OMG it was so good! Biggie salad with 2 TAB LC dsg, 1 small apple

Snack- 1/2 cup of LC IC (4 carbs per 1/2 cup) w/1 TAB chopped walnuts.

water-64 oz +

exercise-steps with pedometer...goal is to reach 10,000 a day and working on it. Today did 6,170 which exceeded my goal for today. No yoga per orders of my instructor as in a FMS flare-up.

Hey ladies? I have a question. How often should we try on a smaller size? Are we going to report how we are doing working toward a size 16? Haven't tried to fit into any of my 16's yet but notice my jeans are geting looser. Trouble is I am so short waisted I have to wear men's jeans so don't know how a man's jean compares with woman's sizes.

I had one steak with deviled eggs for lunch yesterday and dinner was, fried chicken sliced into a bed of lettuce, cheese, olives and CarbSmart Italian dressing with 2 left over deviled eggs.

I'm gonna try my 18's every week and see how they fit. So MOON maybe you could do the same. Mine go up but don't close yet.

WE CAN DO IT!

To Nev05, AF wife and black57.
You guys are great. Thanks for your feed back. Yes, I exercise. I am walking 2 1/2 miles a day and working up to 5 miles a day. My doctor has had to decrease my insulin 3 times so far. She is all for it as long as I get a few carbs a day. My AcH1c has gone from 9.6 to 6.5 in 3 months. She is jumping for joy. My levels have dropped from 400 to 100 and a little below. Between my doctor and the support I recieve from all of you, I know I can make it. Thanks again and Hugs to all.

Had roasted chicken for dinner last night instead of the steak salad.

Bfast today is scrambled eggs with cheese.

Also, my scale is fluctuating between 206 and 210 today. I'll wait till Monday to give any actual number out but it's nice to see it's going down.

Keep up the good work ya'll. I'll be trying on those jeans tomorrow to see how they fit.

Cheers!
