Oh wow hey!!

I love it! I went to Radford and my friend lives in Wytheville. I mentioned never having gone to West VA so we went to Bluefield. So I kept asking are we in VA or WV now?? Visited the Sam's Club, WalMart and Ryans! I know, quite the cosmopolitan travler!
P.S. I'm not sure if you get the same NBC station as my friend, but I love that old weatherman (Sam??? maybe) who does the local news.

All of the places you mentioned are on the Virginia side about 5 miles from us.

WVVA is our local NBC station located here on the WV side.Stan Sweet is probably the weatherman that you thinking about.He does the weather on the weekends.Our morning and evening weather guys are actually meteorologists.

We go to Wytheville quite often.It's about 35 miles East of us.

Glad someone knows my surroundings.

Yup, that's him. Don't know were Sam came from?? The last time I saw him on the air (probably a while ago) he had his arm in a sling. It was really sad because he was trying to click the little button-thingie and it froze up. So he's just standing there in his sling apologizing for the problem.


Have you ever been to King's Produce??? That is my favorite place to visit when I go down there. It's this great little market, but they offer some surprising LC options (almond flour, Splenda, pork rinds, etc.). They also sell Waist-Watcher drinks (sweetened with Splenda) in a ton of flavors that I can't find here (Raspberry ginger ale, black cherry, cream soda, chocolate soda). And my FAVORITE thing about King's is there little spice section. I bought close to a half a pound of dill for 68 cents. In the grocery store, I spend close to 4 bucks for about a quarter of a pound!

I think we should try LC forums and maybe Craigslist. Meetup.com charges something like $20 a month to organize a group, and it's hard to get people to participate.
