Question sex in our profile?

Can we have a place in our profile to put in if we are male or female?

Or maybe an icon by our name that the circle and arrow to upper right corner for men
then circle w/ cross down for ladies?

It would help me to know who i'm speaking with.

Thanks,
Carina

There is. Click on the person's name and go to 'public profile' and scroll down to gender.

I was hopeing for something that stayed on each post so that we don't have to enter every profile when reading responces to our threads..

something that stays on the post the same way our avatar does.

I think it is a great idea, as I am also always going to the public profile to find out a little about who is talking. I hope they will take your suggestion.

This, along with height info, has been frequently suggested.

I've just added it, and to conserve space and information clutter, the height info will be displayed if you have your mouse hover over the gender icons.

I just noticed the li'l boy and girl smilies in our profiles.

That'll help prevent future mix ups, like asking men if they're taking BCPs or if they're PMSing.

Since this seems to be controversial, can I suggest a replacement for the female icon?

I'd also like to add that 'sex in our profile' somehow seemed a lot more exciting than it turned out.

I'd hate to be accused of sexism...

Default Sex Symbol?

Can anyone tell me how to turn off the display of the sex-symbol in the upper-right-hand corner?

It makes me feel uncomfortable and I know this INFO is FORCED in the sign-up; I would prefer not to see it on my own postings.

Tom.

There's no easy way to do this, except by disabling it for everyone.

How do I get an avatar to appear on my posts. Like the ones I see next to the e-mail names at the top of the posts. Some have cartoon characters, personal pictures etc.
