They're too wide for my screen, too. The box that holds the main body of the message is just too long on all posts (not just posts that have a big graphic or a long URL.) This is true both in "Main Style" and "Old Style" I have a laptop with a 15-inch screen (1024x768 pixels), so while my screen is not large and hi res, it's not small either.

Edited to add that I'm using Netscape 7.1 and it happens on all threads that I've viewed.

Edited again to add that it's stopped happening all of the time and sometimes it goes away if I refresh the screen.

Note that some signatures will cause the display to go very wide.

If you encounter such a thread, please use the "report bad post" icon, and let us know. We usually contact members with huge signatures to make it reasonably sized.

It's not a signature issue. For example, it just happened to me on the first two pages of this thread and there are no long signatures there. But then, if I refresh the page or go to another page and come back to the "wide" page, often it's no longer too wide.

It's the text part of the message threads that are getting too wide. It looks like the text box loads and goes to the end of the window and then the ad box loads and hangs off, causing a scroll bar to appear. But, if I refresh the screen, the text box (usually) shrinks and everything fits in the window.

This seems to be a Netscap issue. It's not happening to me with IE v 6.

Ah, o.k.. I'll take this opportunity to plug my favourite browser If you like Mozilla products (I do) like the Netscape browser, try their latest browser, FireFox 0.8 It's the best I've seen.:

It's small and fast!

Default Accessing buddy list?

Hi! Before this morning--when the template changed--I was able to access my buddy list by clicking on "Access Your Buddy List." I can't seem to find that now, with the new look. Can you tell me how to get there?

Thanks!
Sona

I am having the same problem with the messages being too wide. Its like the margin on the right side is too short. Its like the add on the side is taking the space. Its frustrating b/c I can't see the words at the end of every line and its on every thread.

Thanks! I'll give it a try later today. It's been a couple of years since I tried Mozilla itself. I do like Netscape much better than IE because of the tabs and its managers for popups/cookies/passwords/forms/etc.

They don't have it back up yet. They are working on it though.

As for the buddy list, as stated above, it is accessable through the "Quick Links" popup menu and through chat box at the bottom of the main forum page.

It appears the "Quick Reply" box was a bit too wide for smaller monitors. Try it now, and you should not have to scroll side ways.
