California Style Omelet
Hello there...
I decided that I needed to make a variety of egg dishes to break any boredom I may soon have...after all I did just buy 10 dozen of eggs!
So, I took some avocados, tomatoes, cheese, and eggs and made a delicious omelet.
TIP: Sprinkle the avocados with a little salt which brings out the flavor...
Half Avocado, peeled, sliced and salted
Half tomato, sliced
Cheese, shredded
3 to 4 eggs, whipped
olive oil
sour cream-optional
Saute the avocado and tomato until tender, remove and cook the eggs, flipping to the other side. Add a layer of cheese on the top of the omelet and top with the avocados, tomatoes and more cheese. Fold the omelet over and top with more cheese. Top with sour cream.
According to Atkins website, Avocados have 7 carbs but only 1.7 net carbs after subtracting fiber etc.
So, the total for this breakfast the total carbs is 9.5 carbs.
