I started today, but haven't got the book yet, I'm just going off of the website for instructions / shopping lists / menus -- it's just so cold here, once it warms up a bit I'll go buy the book. I'm hoping to get some good results though

I've been playing around since 1/1 and today I'm down 4 pounds from my starting point. I got serious about it 2 days ago and really serious about it yesterday. I think the key for me is going to be making my menu in the morning and eating snacks/meals on time so I don't get hungry and grab something. Also I had gotten thrown by some antibiotics I am finishing today that made me feel sick in the beginning, so I ate some carbs to settle my stomach. Then I discovered milk on the "enjoy" list.

I am finding that I am craving foods more than I did on Atkins. I am eating 2 Atkins meals per day and then eating a super high fiber carb meal in the evening. I have 2 protein snacks per day and a protein shake pre workout. My evening snack is a piece of fruit. Suprisingly my heartburn has not returned yet. I havent bought the book , but I did get a copy of good carb/bad carb by the same author. I am hoping to hit the 170's with this plan. I just couldnt seem to get there with Atkins.

Hi I just started up again on SB I will keep you posted. I did the SB Diet in November and lost about 11lbs in 3 weeks. This time I am doing a combination of SB-Atkins.

Viv, please tell me how you're combining the two, if you wouldn't mind -- I think that's what I should be doing - I HATE lowfat cheese.

thankyou

I have been eating full fat cheese and nuts. I will follow mostly the concept of SB but incorporate some of Atkins.

OMG I had to come in here and take a peek at this SBD forum and all of you have done amazingly well! I have been interested in the SBD but don't know too much about it! Sounds like it seems to be working for all of you. I love Atkins but I am such a turtle loser....gets frustrating sometimes.

Sandra {{BIG HUGS}}
Would you be able to kinda play both sides? Like I'm eating a lot of Atkins Recipes/Products...but, going by the South Beach System, and their recipe and products...lol...I will stick with the Format of South Beach, but find using the two together will be a powerful tool "for me." I'm also doing the SBD Detox..

Hang in there!

Hi, Stacy I'm also doing South Beach and incorporating some Atkins in my diet. Our stats are about the same. Keep me posted on your progress.

Thanks Viv
