Keep that chin up and think positive! And remember, we're all here for you!

Anxiously waiting to hear how it went.

Ian,

I wanted to post and let you know you're in my thoughts and prayers. We will all be waiting with you to hear the results of your test. I had a melanoma scare this past summer and know a little bit of what you're feeling. The waiting is so difficult, but there are so many advancements in the medical field - we will just think positive thoughts. Remember you have lots of caring friends here wishing only the best for you.

Big hugs to you and let us know what you find out.

Onward....

Iann, I was going to write to you this morning and thank you again for the wonderful recipes you share with us. I made your breakfast "quiche" and chili this weekend and my whole family really enjoyed them. I haven't been on the forum for a few days and just found this thread.

You have been on my mind over the weekend and now you are on my heart. I will definately be in prayer for both your mental and physical strength. Cancer is such a scary thing. I pray it isn't so, but if it is so, I pray God will strengthen and comfort you and your family through all of this.

Ian,
I was astonished to read your post about possible breast cancer. It does happen. My Father In Law is a breast cancer survivor and so is my Mother in Law. My FIL had his left breast removed in '97 and then my MIL had a lumpectomy last year. Thank goodness for advancement in the treatment of this disease.
I pray that it is NOT cancer, but if it is- there is HOPE!
You will be in my prayers!
Tanya

Ian,

My thoughts and prayers are with you. My husband had cancer four years ago and from my experience the waiting to find out was the hardest part. I hope that you are dealing with a false alarm. If you are not, remember that medicine has made some remarkable advances in the treatment of cancer over the past couple of decades. My husband has been cancer-free since his treatment four years ago and I know many former cancer patients who have been cancer-free for decades.

If you do need treatment, the National Cancer Institute issues accreditations for treatment centers that meet high standards. If you can, try to go to one of those centers so that you know you will benefit from the most recent research.

Ian - I've not posted on this site for long but I will definitely remember you in a special prayer - even as I have typed this message I have stopped and prayed for you. You are a child of God as we all are. I pray that He will lead you and comfort you. Jellogirl

Ian,
I haven't been around for a few days and hope this turns out to be benign. I know you must be scared and admire your courage in seeing a doctor. If it helps at all, several months ago, I also found a lump in my breast, and under my arm. I wasn't as brave as you, since my mom had undergone breast cancer surgery and I was scared and tried to ignore it until I was almost out of my mind. They turned out to be subaceous (spelling?) cysts from a staph infection.

My prayers and wishes for your good health and peace of mind are with you.
