Jalapeno poppers yumm...
Last night I had a terrible craving. Jalapeno poppers!!!!!
So I went to the garden and picked some.....
Cut the peppers in half and remove the seeds and veins
Fill each half with cream cheese. I fill them even with the pepper
Whip up one egg
I make my breading this way
2 tbl ground almonds
2 tbls plain soy protein
I season it to taste (Salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder)
Dip the stuffed pepper halves in the egg wash to coat
Then dredge into the breading anf drop into a hot fryer.
Cook till golden brown.
I serve them with a homemade ranch dressing.
When I made them at my resturant I would freeze them at least 2 hours. This helps keep them from leaking. It also softens up the pepper. I prefer them fresh myself
So yummy its almost sinful.
