Hi, Just an FYI, I am on Dr. B now and the items you suggested to Dandi for travel snacks etc are not allowed
No bananas
No cherries
No grapes
No Hamburger (unless it is ground in front of you without added fat or fillers)

Hi there, and welcome.

I'm not sure why you've replied to a 12 year old thread, and I suspect you have not read it very closely. Yes, someone did misguidedly suggest eating grapes, but otherwise the other posters (pretty much all of whom have since now left the forum) suggested not eating fruit at all.

If you haven't already, I suggest you check out our Dr Bernstein and Diabetes forum here: http://forum.lowcarber.org/forumdisplay.php?f=45 which, as the name suggests, is just for Type 1 and 2 diabetics.

Its good to correct a wrong piece of information, especially a harmful one like the previous poster gave.
Sugar laden fruits are harmful for diabetics, it does not matter how long ago the wrong information was posted.
It stood to be corrected.
We never know who is reading, and would take what they find on a Dr Bernstein thread, as credible.

I enjoyed reading through this thread, even if it is pretty old! Maybe bumping it up will get some people sharing. I am type 2, working hard to get to the place where I can manage without drugs, almost but not quite there. Greetings to all, and best wishes on your respective journeys toward good health!
