It says it the equivalent of 16 boxes of granular splenda that's $96.
I ordered it and will let you know how it is.

If the main ingredient is sucralose® or liquid Splenda® concentrate (which it is), then it's a 'syrup base concentrate' that lots of people use as if it were the legally brand-named Liquid Splenda which is not available in North American from McNeill, the makers of the boxed Splenda.

Yes, it's the real deal. The maker of the product buys the genuine sucralose®, sets up the labels, bottles, licensing, warehouseing and shipping.

I got it and it's great!! Very very sweet with no aftertaste. The only thing is to see how long it lasts. DH didn't beleive me when I told him that it had the equivalent of 32 cups of sugar so I made him taste a drop... He beleives me now!!

I got an 8oz sample bottle directly from Splenda (you know, for my new product formulation.... ).

Anyway, I think the real liquid splenda is 3 times more potent, or 8oz equals 100 cups of sugar. If that is correct, I guess I just saved about 90 bucks, as I got if for free and can dilute it with distilled water myself.

I asked splenda for a sample and they wouldn't send me one! They said I had to be a manufacturer.

The "real liquid Splenda" manufacturer's concentrate is not legal retail liquid Splenda. Works for you, but not for the rest of us.

What about that legal agreement you made with McNeil to get it?

2 pounds or 907grams, $20 ? That's about normal for good quality protein isolates, like for instance Designer Whey. Matter of fact, that's cheap for a good quality protein isolate. This is not your mother's flour.

I bought Atkins bread and that was a major ingredient. It tastes like low-carb breads made with a lot of vital wheat gluten.

You may like it; but I don't.

Tom.

In the Summer of 2002 I spent $100 USD for a 1 litre bottle of liquid splenda. It was done as a co-op which I bought into through someone else, and my understanding is that what I got was the commercial splenda concentrate. I can't remember precisely, but I'm pretty sure that 1/2 tsp is equivalent in sweetnes to 1 cup of sugar.

At the time I was worried about spending that much money (at the time it was $150 CAD), but now I am SO glad I did it.

I have at least 2/3 if not 3/4 of the bottle left. I have 2 small eyedropper bottles for work and home (or carry with me) for day to day use. The rest of the "liquid gold" stays carefully stored in the cupboard.

I cannot even IMAGINE how many carbs I have saved with it. It may seem like a huge cost for 8oz, but boxed Splenda ain't cheap, AND it has all the extra carbs.

Just thought I'd share my experience for anyone who's thinking about it.
