Exclamation Pics

Hi Doreen, Rosebud says that you are the hi-tech person around here. Wondering how to post a little pic near my name. I have followed the vb code instructions to the letter but no go. Any ideas what I could be doing wrong? Thanks Nancy

hi chris,

The avatar photo can't be bigger than 20Kb OR 100 x 100 pixels. So it seems the file size is ok, but the dimensions are too big.

er ... you did mean that the file is 18 Kb right?? Not 18 Mb .. that would be a mighty big picture

To attach the picture, you need to post a reply here. Then, look below the box where you type your message, you'll see where it says "Attach File" .. use the Browse box to find the picture file in your C: drive, and then submit your post. We can make adjustments and put it in your profile for you. Just make sure you actually see the file path appear in the attachment box before you submit ..

hth,

Doreen

The picture needed to be shrunk .. it was something like 310 x 250 pixels. Can't remember the exact number, but bigger than 100 x 100 for sure Don't know if you have photo editing software, but I use Adobe Photodeluxe (came with my scanner, and I love it) Anyhoooo, the original photo was 200 pixels per inch, so I reduced that to 100 pixels per inch. Then I shrunk it to 100 x 85 pixels.

You can right-click on the pic with your mouse, then check Properties .. it will give the file size and pixel dimensions.
