Default smells make you fat??

O.K., I have hit a weight stall, but the "flab" seems to be moving around, adjusting itself or something!! I will loose in one area, then another area gets loose and flabby, then I start loosing there....My question is...I can make all kinds of goodies for the kids, cupcakes, cookies, etc...I get pleasure from smelling the sweet smell of the batter, or frosting, and it gives me kind of pleasure to know that I have the willpower to stop at the satisfaction of the smell, without cramming it in. Well, I mentioned this to someone at work the other day, and was told that by smelling those smells, I am making my body store fat!! The sweet smell does something to your brain to make your body store more fat!! Has anyone else heard this??? Is it true??? I felt so good about myself for not eating the junk, but to give up the smells too?? That seems like too much torture!!

Theoretically, the smell is supposed to, in some people, cause an insulin release. Personally, I don't get to worried about it. What are we supposed to do? Wear a clothespin while we cook?

Far bigger problem for me is not tasting as I cook...

I wouldn't worry much abou it, really. Although some people report cravings from food-scented candles! I know a few people who had to ditch them.... I think, IMO, it's more a mental thing than physical. Regardless... I'm not losing sleep over it.

That is a funny thought tho. Shoot, when I cook pasta for the kids I yell for my hubby to test the noodles since I don't want them, LOL.
